1. Loverly advice. One last question, with Bart pups, what wire is essentially black/white? If that's makes sense
2. I'm installing (for the first time ever) a set of new pickups in my jazz along with a new control plate. I've been lent one of them fancy irons where you can adjust the temperature. So what do you all reckon? I do have some basic experience soldering but not with pots and pickups. I just don't want to fry anything! Go go go!
3.
Would you consider posting/courier?
Yes, but you would have to cover costs etc
4.
The American special is a cheaper (and feels it) version of American standards, I played both before buying my Am Standard Jazz.
I disagree. I thought my USA Special was loverly and It was compared to standards along with many other models. Have a bump for a cool looking bass
5. What a absolutely amazing deal! If I had the cash this would be mine in a heart beat
6. Unfortunately the old kidneys are ticking over nicely at the mo!
7. Ta for the bump, up again! need the space. Trades for a nice precision, Aguilar/ampeg cab

9.
Where are you based pal
Pm'd
10. Babicz has my vote, beauty of a bridge. Direct replacement for my fender jazz. The bass rang for days and I noticed some nice tone improvements too.
11. Crazy price! If I didn't have my P I would be all over this!

HATE them. Bought a set as they were recommended from the guy serving me. Rusted within a few days and tension wasn't for me. Must have got a dud pack. Still, personally. I don't think they are worth the money.
13. This is cool for on the fly. I Still prefer a fresh new set of strings though
14.
Dan what is the depth of the casing front to rear (excluding knobs, handles etc). Cheers
I make it 39cm or 41cm including the rear rack ears
15. Cheers guys, looks like the F1 is top for me then
16.
It carries the most gear and protects the bass most though. If you don't have to carry it very far.
Do you find if very comfy then?
17.
I'd recommend the Protection Racket 7051 all day long, but it mostly goes from house to car (5 yards) then from car to rehearsal room (5 yards). I can imagine it being literally a pain in the arse if you had to use it rucksack-fashion over any distance, though.
Yeah, it's not the most handsome looking case out of the bunch
