5.
Looking through Bartolini's wiring diagrams it seems that their convention is Black = hot and White = earth/ground.
My wires weren't coloured. The grounded was braided and wrapped around the hot wire I need more help guys! There's something up with my tone controls. When I roll them off I'm getting a large drop in volume and my actually tone is sounding a bit off to me. Like I'm under water with all the mids and treble cut. It just doesn't effect my tone the way I'm used to. When I have my neck: Vol 10 + Tone 10 & my bridge: Vol 10 + tone 0 I'm suffering from a drastic drop in volume again as well as losing my neck in the mix. So I'm still getting that strange tone. When everything is open wide it sounds great! Hope this makes sense..
6. Loverly advice. One last question, with Bart pups, what wire is essentially black/white? If that's makes sense
7. I'm installing (for the first time ever) a set of new pickups in my jazz along with a new control plate. I've been lent one of them fancy irons where you can adjust the temperature. So what do you all reckon? I do have some basic experience soldering but not with pots and pickups. I just don't want to fry anything! Go go go!
8.
Would you consider posting/courier?
Yes, but you would have to cover costs etc
9.
The American special is a cheaper (and feels it) version of American standards, I played both before buying my Am Standard Jazz.
I disagree. I thought my USA Special was loverly and It was compared to standards along with many other models. Have a bump for a cool looking bass
10. What a absolutely amazing deal! If I had the cash this would be mine in a heart beat
11. Unfortunately the old kidneys are ticking over nicely at the mo!
12. Ta for the bump, up again! need the space. Trades for a nice precision, Aguilar/ampeg cab

16. Babicz has my vote, beauty of a bridge. Direct replacement for my fender jazz. The bass rang for days and I noticed some nice tone improvements too.
17. Crazy price! If I didn't have my P I would be all over this!
18. Make me a offer

cobolt

HATE them. Bought a set as they were recommended from the guy serving me. Rusted within a few days and tension wasn't for me. Must have got a dud pack. Still, personally. I don't think they are worth the money.
20. This is cool for on the fly. I Still prefer a fresh new set of strings though
