6. Pm's replied to. Long replies as I've been in Oxford
 7.
Sorry if that sounds bitter and dismissive but I hate it when companies do this sort of stuff; working musicians NEED their gear for rehearsals and gigs. If they can take the time to mark other products out of stock then they should ensure they do it with all products (as this leads the customer to believe it's in stock when it's not... like in your case). Years ago I ordered a rig from Andertons. Paid for next day courier. Next day arrives, no show. Had to cancel a rehearsal. Next day, no show. Day after, no show. Ended up managing to borrow someone else's amp last minute for a weekend gig. I don't recall the conversations I had with them but it essentially boiled down to "it's in the courier's hands". Haven't bought anything from them since.

And in response to OP: There's some here being sold through Amazon Marketplace: http://www.amazon.co...d/dp/B002HQOWKE Could try eBay too.
I'll give them that the other things I ordered came in good time (really good time) it's just incredibly frustrating when something like this happens. The power supply and cables I also ordered are pretty much useless without the board. After bouncing a few emails with them (their responses were top notch) they offered me some alternatives to the PT mini, 2 out of the 3 being more expensive. Maybe I was just unlucky.. The PT's on amazon are from a german company unfortunately, thanks for the suggestions though!
 8. So I got my parcel from effectpowersupplies though the door today. On first inspection I thought that looked just a little bit to small for a pedal train mini.. Well it was. No sign of it. Called them up to be told that it's actually on pre order. I'm not one happy bunny. I spoke to them on the phone and after pointing out that their website doesn't actually say it's out of stock or has a pre order style of purchase I just got told it doesn't actually say it's in stock.. Well why doesn't it say its out of stock!? I looked though their website and found of most item it either explains its in or out of stock. I totally understand that. But why not tell me after you've taken my money? Now I'm stuck with out a compact board that I really actually needed for a gig this weekend So who knows where I can get one?

 10.
I've done this with vintage silver Fender grill cloth on my Mark Bass combo! I unscrewed the grill and glued the cloth to back of the grill on the edges (just in case I ever need to restore it) and then screwed the grill back on. I kept the logo off though.
This is what I had in mind! Got any pictures of the cab with the cloth on it? (That would make my day)

 12. My much loved Lakland has to go unfortunately Got this from GAK just over a year ago and I have to say.. This bass sounds huge. There are so many usable tones for virtually any style of music. It really growls. It's in great condition, no major dings or chips. There might be a bit of swirling from general playing but I'll let the pictures do most of the talking Only issue is I accidentally strung it with some super light prosteels although they sound nice, they scale length is wrong. So I'll need a re-string Here's the low down on these guys http://lakland.com/55-02.htm It's a 08 according to the serial number SOLD Very open to trades! Got a Ampeg SVT 410/810, Aguilar DB410, Ashdown Little bastard, Ashdown CL Cabinet or a P-bass? 14.
They make a 2x12 in the same range as that red Ashdown you posted and it sounds great! Although for some reason it isn't on Ashdown's website and there's not a lot of info on them. If you can find one, though, it's worth checking out.
I'll have to do some digging. Does anyone know why there is such little info about these cabs?
 15.
2x12s have a better dispersion across the stage (unless you put the cab horizontally). Have a look at some of the better 2x12s & see if you like them (Barefaced, MarkBass & Bergantino all make good 2x12s).
I'll check them out. I actually have a Markbass 6x10 that I love. I'm not sure my VR's liking the 6ohms to much. I'm also looking for something thats still reasonably small (so I can chuck it in a car boot) A bit old school, looks good (it's all about looking good right? ) but can still move some serious air
 16.
Why a 4x10? 2x12 is a much better design.
Apples & Oranges. What makes you say a 2x12 cab is better? I, personally have always liked 4x10s, yet to try a nice 2x12
 17.
The Ampeg PF410HLF is a cab worth checking out: http://www.ampeg.com...flex/pf-410hlf/ Has that lovely Ampeg tone in a much easier to cart about package than the regular SVT410HLF.
Looks nice, if I do go down the Peg root I'll probably get the HLF
 18.
If Ashdowns usual naming conventions are anything to go by, a CL414 would be a 4 Ohm version of a CL410, so you could maybe looks for reviews of that?
It's 4 Ohms and has a 'tilt back' back option. I can't seem to find much if not anything about the CL cabs
 19. I'm looking for a new 4x10 cab to rock with my Ampeg SVT VR. So, I've been looking at: Ampeg svt 410HLF Ampeg 410 AV - can't source one Ashdown CL-414H http://ashdownmusic.com/products/1/Bass-Amplification/1/Valve/16/CL414H/ As we all know, well thats the impression I get.. That the ampegt 410HLF is a pretty damn amazing cab but what else is there? This Ashdown CL CaB looks like it could be a monster (as well as looking cool) but I can't find any reviews or many comments on it at all! I want a old school, punchy tight cab that sounds amazing as well as looks the bomb. What do you guys think?
 20.
I have a mark bass cab, the grill comes off by taking a screwdriver to the screws holding it on. Simple as that! If you're wanting a cloth grill, you could knock up a wooden frame with little support struts in the inside corners fairly easily. Cover that with the cloth and hey presto! It's cheap and if you like it, there you go. Dan
Good Idea! Now, who knows where to get the grill cloth?
 21. So I just got my self a Ampeg SVT-VR (think what you want ) I'm planning on running it with my Markbass 6x10 cab. Now I was thinking of covering the grill with some of the old style silver/blue cloth. What do you reckon? It might look a bit odd with the ports on show and no tolex or (I think anyways) it could look pretty cool. Now am I trying to pass the cab off as a Ampeg cab? No. I as much as I would love a Ampeg 410hlf AV - I don't have the funds. I will probably keep the mark logo on show too How could I do this? I could potentially take the grill off - I know its risky but it's flight cased It's just souring the cloth and and actually attaching it
