    I tend to use either electric-fretless or electric-upright when accompanying my singer-songwriter friend and they blend really nicely with the acoustic guitar vibe...

    [s]Clearing out my drawer I found a few jack-jack cables I no longer use as am fully obbm'd... All have neutrik ends, the pro cables have heavier duty cable, all have served me well, are in excellent condition and work perfectly.     Comp would enable you to even out the volume of your notes and also pick the whole volume up to the level you need for those slapped bits to sit right with your other bits too
