1.
Active Volume & tone for each pickup.
Real simple then, just like a passive only more!
 2. very very tempting! What are the controls on these please as it's a long time since I played one?
 3. I'm strangely tempted by this...we used to stock these back in the day and they were great to play!
 4.
I'd imagine they'd be fine if you're connecting pedals of the same brand together (so the input/output are all in exactly the same place) and the pedals are solidly mounted to a pedalboard, otherwise when you stomp on them I expect there's a risk of that thing breaking.
This is how I use them on my board, any pedals from differing brands are connected via 'george l' stuff
 5. [s]Clearing out my drawer I found a few jack-jack cables I no longer use as am fully obbm'd... All have neutrik ends, the pro cables have heavier duty cable, all have served me well, are in excellent condition and work perfectly. I've had Planet waves come and go but these have outlasted the shonky gold ended jack stretchers! 6m Right angled - straight Piranha Pro cable £15 inc uk postage 3m Right angled - straight Piranha Pro cable £10 inc uk postage 6m Right angled - straight Piranha standard cable £12 inc uk postage [/s]
 6. Comp would enable you to even out the volume of your notes and also pick the whole volume up to the level you need for those slapped bits to sit right with your other bits too
 7. Oh that is VERY ROOOOOOCK!
 8. I lusted after if before and I still lust after it even now I have no fancy spare cash to flash at it though...
 9.
Lol fair play. How old is it? Pm sent
Bought new May 2011 Pm replied to
 10.
It looks awesome. Forgive my question, but having just been on the fender site it seems to be a minefield of different editions. How do,we know it is a 50s Classic Series Precision?
Thanks matey! That sir is a good question and, apart from it looking exactly like the ones on there, having the reverse tuners etc and being sold to me as one, I also have the original store receipt which states that that's what it is? I haven't taken it apart to look for neck / body stamps etc but I didn't feel the need...
 11.
Is it the red one on your Flickr page?
It is indeed matey, I'll add a few direct links to individual pics when I get onto the pc later
 12.
Is it just me that cannot see the picture?
Hhmmm maybe not matey, it doesn't seem to show the flickr slideshow on the mobile version...
 13.
Just buy a DI box Andy!
Got one matey, excellent as a backup, the lmii has a di but doesn't have the level knob, they've apparently tweaked a few other things too, the lmii is superb for turn up and play but I'd like the lmiii as most of my playing is with pa support so the level knob will be well handy...
 14.
PMd trade offer for the 614
e614 traded

 16.
Great! I was wavering!
if it doesn't work out it can be yours matey...
 17.
Looks like I'll have to do some more research. Those Sennheiser HD280's get some pretty excellent reviews I must say. And I do see your point, Andy, about why spend all this money on basses and other kit and then listen through cheap headphones when , to be honest, the majority of my playing time is through headphones.
18.
It would be good to try out those Sennheisers. They are above the price range I have ever used before. I guess it might be of some use simply to go into a hi-fi shop and do some listening tests with some quality phones with a track I know well. Andy I would be interested also in how much difference your little headphone amp makes. The only issue I can think of is the lack of EQ which I do use on my Behringer mixer (probably only needed as the behringer's pre-amps are so non-transparent).
I can heartily recommend decent headphones as why buy a magnificent bass only to practice through 'less than great' headphones? It'll only ever sound cr*ppy won't it? I had a behringer BDI for a while and it sounded paper-thin by comparison, also had almost no volume output, I was used to a PJB Bass Buddy at this point, the sfx is as loud as I want it to be, I've never had it above half, and it sounds precisely like the bass, it's an excellent reproduction of the tone of the instrument, it's not cheap but it is chuffin good matey!
 19.
I vote Genz Streamliner. Awesome thing. I love it.
I had a shuttle 9.0 and thought it a bit thin sounding, is the streamliner really such a different animal? Has anyone in/around Sheffield got one I could try / compare to my LMII please?
 20. It's all semi-meaningless comparison based on a need to be measurably better than someone isn't it? I'm good enough that I can play whatever I'm asked to play (sometimes a little effort is required) and regularly play with musicians who I would rate much higher than me... ...decide what you think you are and go along to a few auditions for that level or the one above and see how the other musicians there compare to your perception?
 21. [s]For trade (or sale) my Little Mark II head, I've got an lmiii incoming so this one needs to go. For Sale £275 collected... I also have a gigskinz small mixer bag that is a perfect fit for this that I could include for an additional £30, the bag is in perfect condition and superbly protects the amp. Condition: a couple of cosmetic scuffs but everything works exactly as it should, really loud punchy full sounding little beast! [/s]
 22.
I now own Lozz's old LMT. It's a great little amp but the valve really does sod all. I find the amp sounds slightly warmer when the blend knob is between SS and valve, but then it evens out again when you turn fully to the valve side. It's not a huge deal for me as I use a Tech 21 to dirty things up, but I find it odd that Markbass went to all the effort of designing the amp to have a valve when it makes virtually no difference to the sound.
Definately a consensus that it's a pointless exercise for me to try one. Thanks folks!
 23. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD280 closed back headphones and they do sound pretty good, I really fancy a pair of the PJB headphones designed for bass though... I only ever use my sfx micro-h at home as it sounds great and can blend mp3 input into my bass sound for me to play along to
