9.
Hi, is this a refin? thanks
Fairly sure it's original finish matey, that's how it was sold to me (all original), just rather worn looking and sexy
  10.
Thank you. A shade too heavy and too wide. Another sleepless night avoided. I do find these incredibly attractive. I guess the single pup version is a touch lighter? Anyway, GLWYS, shouldn't be around for long.
No probs matey, glad your sleep isn't interrupted
  11. Thanks guys, you're not helping my 'need to sell' motivation there though Weight is 9.2lb ('weigh me with and without bass' method) Nut width is 41mm.
  12.
Two questions, if you don't mind. How much does this weigh? How wide is the neck at the nut? Ta
Good questions and useful info I missed out...will do the measuring/weighing this evening when I get home General comment on weight though, less than either of my p-basses Nut width, less than either of my p basses but not quite jazz narrow I think both tbc this evening when I get home
  13. [s]For sale is my y.o.b. '77 Guild B-302, only selling as I've commissioned a build by Jon Shuker and need to raise some cash... She's in brilliant 'mojo' condition, some lovely areas of genuine wear but no real battle scars, she's been played but loved. The only slight issue is a crack in the scratchplate (see pic) but it's not in a place that should cause problems. At some point an owner has added a second strap button at the bridge end to permit use of schaller straplocking buttons. Upside of this is she balances perfectly now too when on a strap Cased in a magnificent handmade and definitely vintage hard case that does the job really nicely. Everything works, neck is spot on, frets are great, she plays real fast, sounds huge and looks seriously badass! A few dims... 9.2lb on the scales. Nut width 41mm 1st fret neck thickness 20mm 12th fret fingerboard width 52mm 12th fret neck thickness 22mm Local collection from Sheffield very welcome, can ship within UK if need be. 14. [s]For sale, the G50 wireless system I got on here a little while back to see whether I'd get on with it or not...the outcome...I bl**dy love it! So, when I was given a new G50 setup and second transmitter I decided I ought to let this go to someone who wants to try it out like I did The body pack is showing a bit of wear from having been used by the previous owner and myself but still works perfectly and there's no power pack but I've been powering it from my diago daisy chain with absolutely no trouble at all So with the exception of the PSU it is complete with its original packing, manual, body pack and antenna’s etc… Local collection from Sheffield or am happy to post within the UK. a good few wear-marks but works spot on this is mostly dust shown up by the flash... 15.
I recognise this. Great bass....my favourite era and sound
Indeed my friend, she's now happily living in her lovely new hiscox ebs case and with her new nickel rounds she sings like a ray5 should
  16. [s]For sale my lovely 2002 SR5, in Blue Pearl finish and with rosewood fingerboard. From EB Customer Service "DOB: 09/26/02, Blue Pearl SR5-H, ashwood body, maple neck/ rosewood fretboard, black pickguard. Recently restrung with nickel roundwound 45-125 and she sings beautifully and sounds exactly as a SR5 should Bass is in Sheffield, UK courier can be arranged if necessary, local collection is also perfectly fine the tiny mark on the back of the body, approx. 2mm in length[/s]
  17. had a first go with my zoom h4n at last week's rehearsal and it captured everything, at listenable quality, I took it as a trial and just sat it next to my knee on top of a case, everything is audible and with better placement of it I'd be happy to use it for demo recordings, the bass is clear and deep, electric guitar is crisp, vocals are present and sound good (if distant but that's down to where the unit was sat). I was just using the inbuilt stereo pair of mics too...
  18. Learn to play your lines with your eyes shut then light levels are irrelevant I can do it on about half of our current set
  19. Just had a very pleasant coffee, chat and trade with Ed, excellent basschatter and very easy guy to chat to. Spot on matey
