When you're looking at these lightweight bass amps, the amp you like most will be the one that has the right feel for you, which will often be the one that reaches its limit in the way that you most like, and that too will be the amp that you deem loudest. Which is why I asked if anyone had them/had tried them so I could lean on their experience to produce a shortlist... I need to try the Shuttle 6 and 9 and Streamliner 9 and also compare with the TC stuff even though it's more expensive and unlikely to fit my meagre budget... Thanks matey!

Both would be stiff competition for the STL 9.[/quote] The TC stuff looks a bit plasticky to me and the buttons sound a bit clunky on vids I've seen, the sound (being totally digital) doesn't convince me in the way the Genz stuff does but that's only comparing vid to vid, also features wise I like having real valves... As for the STL9 rather than Streamliner, it looks nicer? I guess it's mostly the features available, the parametric mids rather than preset mid selection are an attractive option to me, I like to be able to select a frequency if I need to, it's also a smidge lighter, I guess there's not really that much in it and it ought to come down to sound but I can't get to anywhere that stocks them to try them out, price wise they're pretty close too.

Convenience for me would be 2 midgets so I can use one all the time and keep the other at home for practice and to wheel out or any bigger gigs, does that sound doable?
