No bass collection is ever complete without: 1) Fender jazz 2) Fender precision 3) MusicMan Thingray 4) Rickenbacker 4001/3 5) Decent Yamaha workhorse 6) Custom Fodera 5-string. Now its just a question of which order you get them in.
I've had four out of the six (several of each in fact), will likely never have a Fodera and haven't ever tried a yam that I liked...maybe one of the ones that myung used to play might be ok I suppose?

No idea how much my amp is worth (warwick 300w)
andydye replied to krazy_olie's topic in Amps and Cabs
Have you tried looking at completed listings on ebay to see if any have been sold recently? This is usually my first port of call when pricing gear up... "anything is only worth what someone will pay for it..." -
They won't pay out even if you pay for the insurance - musical instruments are explicitly excluded from enhanced compensation. Do yourself a favour and boycott ParcelForce - they are absolutely no use to you, the insurance mis-selling gits.
I never knew that! I'm shocked and disgusted!! http://www2.parcelforce.com/send-worldwide...ns/prohibitions It's right there but they don't tell you at the post office counter!! Appalling!!

Mine took a long long time but it really is lovely, you need a lot of patience but the end result is v pleasing! I sent weekly emails chatting and checking for update and always found him helpful and communicative.

What did you use to fill/stuff the cab?

That looks very smart! It's exactly what I'm about to try to build!

simple thought to throw in... bass - essentially for single notes (with a bit of chording) guitar - chords ahoy (with a bit of single note stuff) 2 different beasts for 2 different purposes even with the tonal crossover?

Hiya, Check out Dave's builds, he's in the US but does Fender type stuff that's really really good! I got a p from him last year and it's amazing! http://www.certainbass.com/
That was my bad boy. Its a lovely bass.
It was and is indeed Jerry mate, it's a sad decision to have to make...am not happy about it but I've got to do it...I used it at a band practice last night and it was lovely, sounded brilliant! real fat with the bass up and tone rolled off and spanking highs with the tone up!

I have recently got a 2 band black & maple on a trade, it's in real nice condition, plays really well, action is lovely and low, cleaned and restrung, crazy credit card bill forces sale! I'll no doubt get another one some day but I need to get some cash in... £650 posted? PM me with any sensible offers...

Hi there, A little help/advice from the experts would be appreciated... I'm hoping to build a mini speaker box to go under my PJB bassbuddy, this will be my first cab build! My intention is that it will have an internal void of 300x300x300mm with 4 25mm dia vents in the front, this matches the Eminence data sheet vent requirement for my chosen speaker (Eminence Basslite CH2010 10") but exceeds the data sheet for internal volume (would be 300x300x200mm) as I liked the idea of a bass-cube... What are the implications of me making the box deeper? Will it sound more 'middy' but have less low end if I make it shallower to match the data sheet? Will it sound too woofy if I make it a cube? Or will it be fine? Should I fill the void with something, just attach some insulation to the sides/top/bottom or leave it empty? Thanks guys.

Just did a postal guitar trade with Jerry, posted on the same day... We both took a bit of a flier as we both had the same feedback and that only for buying not selling... Lots of good pm conversation beforehand along with a couple of telephone chats, addresses exchanged and all went as agreed. No problem! Bass arrived safe and sound exactly as described, simply superb! This man can he trusted no problem! Andy
Hi mate. I wanna buy your case. Is it for sale? Cheers.
Hi Tian, Thanks for your interest, the case is for sale together with the bass, I don't wanna sell it separately as I'd then have nothing to sell the bass in. Thanks though A -
