1.
There should be no difference. They should both work. There is no in and out. They are supposed to be wired together to allow daisy chaining.
Hhmmm that was my worry, I'll speak to the shop tomorrow... Thanks
 2.
Think one is for daisy chaining.
Thanks matey, I wondered if that was it so I thought I'd ask, they aren't labelled differently though which made me wonder...
 3. I bought an epi ul112 yesterday and love the sound, that's why I bought it! But When I connect the head to the right hand speakon it works fine but doing the same with the left hand speakon nothing comes out! Is this supposed to happen? Is the left one for daisy chain only or is it somehow broken? Thanks!
 4. Am heading down to the Gallery in Camden this Saturday (tomorrow!), if anyone else is going to be there I should be there from just before 3 for about an hour I reckon!
 5.
Only just noticed this - these DIY posts disappear from the radar very quickly. If you've not started building yet - don't build a cab that's a cube. It's the worst possible shape. The ideal is to have each dimension different to prevent standing waves that will come out through the cone and colour your sound. Also, don't use four 1-inch ports. Just use one.
It's pinned now so that should help! I have decided to bin the idea and just buy a Vanderkley 112MNT...

 7. technique and theory provide the vocabulary (as has been mentioned before in this thread), it's the soul that provides the music which the technique and theory then translate through your fingers and out through your amp...
 8.
Take info on forums with a pinch of salt. Only you can really say whether a certain cab will or will not work..and then only when you have it and have played through it in the circumstances you need it most in. You might find there are as many discenters as there are fans for cab A or B... or amp Y or Z There is plenty of stuff on here and other places about plenty of kit...you just need to do some research. There might well be stuff that is hyped up on here that is only known about on here because the makers of that kit only sell on here. It can be an easy market as well.
Absolutely matey, I did lots of 'mental auditioning' by reading manuals and looking at specs before asking for actual experience of this kit to help me narrow down my options, it included reading through barefaced's website and tbh their numbers look amazing and the feedback from owners is outstanding! That and a few email chats with Alex at Barefaced somewhat sealed my fate as it were, he's knowledgeable and helpful. I'm hoping to head down to the gallery in Camden this next weekend so I can try a couple of heads but I'm probably going to be coming home with a Shuttle 9 (and hopefully without my PJB SixPack too!) I may or may not pick up a cab while I'm there but I may also be trying out a Midget-T on Alex's 'try for a month and return if you don't like it' policy...
 9. so, having dithered around variations on the theme and listened to the noise barefaced are making around this forum just now it's gonna be a Shuttle 9.0 and a Midget-T. Thanks for your help gents!
 10.
Sexy!
Why thankyou! It is really nice to play! sounds wicked with a good bit of drive and really almost nice clean, the chambered body gives a little bit of '335'-ness, super cool! shame I don't play 6's at the mo! Could really do with the cash or something useful instead of havin it sat about...
 11. For sale (or possible trade) my 2008 Gibson Les Paul Studio in worn brown, it's one of the chambered ones so it's a bit lighter than other studios (I also think it sounds nicer than the other studios I've had!). All original, OHSC, great condition, I've played it a few times (bought for a project that never quote happened) and it's then been sat in it's case, it's currently on the wall of my mates guitar shop in Wakefield but I can fetch it back... £600 (daddy wants another cab!) I'd prefer collection to postage but...if it makes a deal then I'll go with it! PM me any questions, offers or trade options so I'll definately pick them up, I'm still struggling a bit to follow threads... Thanks guys! Andy
 12.
Quick question: I have a Compact. Tuesday's gig is in a biggish bar, 150-200 noisy people. Given the size of the Compact, would you leave it on the floor or put on top of something? Steve
Will you be able to hear yourself over the rest of the stage noise if it's on the floor? have you got PA backup? have a look at: http://barefacedbass.com/technical-informa...or-coupling.htm
 13.
I'm glad the cab is working well in Notts set up. So, it looks like people who don't own a piece of equipment can come up with good advice and recommendations after all!
I don't own one yet but I have had long email chats with Alex and done lots of visual auditioning, I'll be going down to Camden next weekend I think to do some audible auditioning and trade my PJB for a GB Shuttle 9.0
 14. I may be in South Yorkshire but a midlands bass day might be quite close to me!
 15.
bloody hell, no pressure then lads haha :-)
Haha indeed! Although I was already fairly set on a Shuttle 9, I've set up a deal with the Gallery and just need to get down there with my SixPack (from Sheffield on the train!) to do the trade, I'll probably pick up an Epi UL110-2 to tide me over until a Midget-T arrives but I'll try as many other cabs as I can while I'm down there...
 16. I too am eagerly waiting to hear what you make of it! I'll probably be pushing the button on a Midget-T very soon to go with a Shuttle 9.0 that I'll also be buying...
 17. everyone should try to have at least the ability to pull off most if not all techniques as learning a new one will further inform the other techniques you already have, it also makes you much more versatile
 18. it's the same technique on whatever bass you try, a wider string spacing 'may' help you early on but I slap my stingray5 occasionally (only when called for) and it's got fairly narrow string spacing
 19. Having looked at all the options I could, epi, aggi, van derk, genz, barefaced, very, I would have beef if poss and then barefaced over all the rest, I don't yet own any of them but that's where I'm at...
 20. Shuttle + barefaced, it's what I want too!
 21.
I do furniture restoration and face this prob often; a screw extractor should sort you out Drill a pilot hole into the offending screw, and screw in the 'remover', which is reverse threaded to it'll loosen the screw rather than tighten it.
That's a brilliant little thing!!

 24. This is the exact rig I want but I don't have the cash just now as no-one wants to buy my SixPack! so...because this is a killer rig I want someone on here to buy it before some other monkey snaps it up!
