Would love it, but it's in norfolk!
is there any problems with it
Nope, used it at a gig last night in fact, and just decided I didn't need it anymore, would rather just use a lead, as I don't have a car and it's an extra thing I don't need to take on the tube/bus across London with everything else I have to take too. Works just fine!

The reds on the aerodynes and some others are sexual IMHO. They had that range of really bright coloured ones they've literally just brought out was on a thread in this forum not too long ago, though they were hideous and the price was a rip off. As for not giving more colour choice in the hope more people will buy CS models, I can't really see that as true - surely if you want a custom colour on an off the shelf fender you get it resprayed for up to £250 rather than spending £1000s more on a CS version? I love the sparkly orange that MM do on the bongos, and those Big Als come in some interesting colours too. I love the deep blue and green Warwick do, no reason why fender couldn't do any of these! That fotoflame P sold on here recently was interesting, I liked the look of that one.
Meh! The bass tones are really nice, but the song content just seems like them going through the motions again. I hate the fact you don't seem to be able to pause the album and have to start from the beginning. Think I'm going to switch it off now I've had enough.
Press pause, not the little stop icon

why does my E string buzz on my Marcus Miller bass
I got one of my Bass Collections set up (truss rod, action, cleanout of the electronics bit) for £35 and this included a new custom-made brass nut to fit my string gauges. So it shouldn't be too expensive to get one replaced.
By who? That's a great price! -
Up for sale is my Sennheiser Freeport wireless system, with everything you need to go wireless at a gig! Included: Transmitter (the bit you clip onto your belt) Receiver, the thing with pretty lights and aerials atop your amp 2x Transmitter to bass leads, 1 of them has a locking mechanism at the transmitter end, to prevent it flying off anywhere if you get a bit over-excited Power supply for the receiver A new battery in the transmitter I used this with various 5 string, active and passive basses and never had a problem capturing the lows or tone whatsoever, the transmission is crystal clear, and Sennheiser reckon you have 100m range with line of sight. I managed 50m down the street past my house through about 3 brick walls when I first tested it. Used this at a few gigs, so the sleeve the box comes in is tatty, though the box itself is alright. The transmitter also bears the residue of many applications of parcel tape, this would easily come off with a bit of time, but it's never bothered me personally so I've not done it. The transmitter has a clip so will clip onto your belt/jeans/strap. Selling because I need the cash and realise that now gigging in a 3-piece I never have issues tripping over bandmate's leads anymore! Asking £100 ono, shipped and insured to most of the UK. Can provide photos if desired. Thanks for looking, Dan
Possibly you're not a fan of the Precision?
The only thing I like about it is the split coil pickup, which usually sounds good, but there are bad examples of those about too!

I agree. He sucked on a lot of these tunes, but I also thought the guitar was lacking, and the bass nothing like as imaginative as it has been before. I wasn't able to finish listening to the album because the worst program in the world that is iTunes, crashed, as per usual. I didn't know where I was in the album so couldn't be bothered to find my place again, it was that uninspiring.
I'm quite enjoying the album so far, the songs I've heard so far have a good feel and the bass tone is very nice. His jazz sounds very tasty And the new song sounds better in the context of the album i.m.o
F**k me that bass sounds good. What is it, asides a jazz?

What warwickhunt said. If you don't have the luxury of trying before you buy, buy and try and sell on until you find the right one, I'm aware this is some hassle but if you're savvy about your purchases and sales then you will get to experience all sorts of different varieties and eventually figure out what's right for you.

I fancy a light up scratch plate for my Epi TB pro-V when I get a bit of spare cash, I already know what I want. There's no cavity under the scratchplate but a sizeable enough one on the back, and an existing battery compartment as it's active, do you know if that'd be alright?

Ugh, so far from Earl's Court.
A.Learn to live with it. B.Get one with a Jazz profile neck.
A. Why should I bother when I have a bunch of basses I like the neck profiles on? B. Why not then get a jazz aerodyne or something, which has the better looking jazz body too?
-
I hear the guys that dislike the modern necks say 90s ones are the ones they like. The one I just sold had a beauteous neck (2006), so something around then or before should be fine
Good news: the clamps are off and it is now possible to play the first and second frets. Whether or not it will stay remains to be seen. I think I'll leave it under string tension for a while.
Awesome sir! This is fantastic. I'd love to see a shot of it next to a standard thunderbird, just to see the difference in upper fret access. I'm aware it's early days yet, but do you think this would be possible to do, to a 5 string thunderbird, ideally with a 24-fret, graphite neck? And at EH, no I won't be doing it to that and I just sold it anyway o.O

Instrument insurance for me was nothing like that expensive, for £4000's worth of gear?
