1. I know streamers dont tend to shift on here but i though id try. Well i need to clear my debts so the latest of my basses to bite the dust is my beloved streamer LX its a great nick with some light buckle rash visible in some lights on the back, the bass is a 99 and in great nick with a super low action and no issues, not even the broken tab on the nut lol, its a reeeeally sweet streamer! It wipes the floor with all the other wicks I've owned Inc an 80s stage1 and an fna jazzman along with other lx's. It even has a lovely figuring in the neck, which has a sort of optical depth to it, def the best warwick ive played bar none. The bass is fitted with gold schaller straplocks and a hipshot detuner. EDIT NOT included at £400. Ill accept £4oo collected from Cheltenham or buyer arranged courier
2. nice one malcom it was a pleasure to deal with you and I hope I can again.
3. iPhone foible, I don't seem to be able to edit posts on the Iphone so excuse me replying to my own post! I just wanted to add that I shielded the bass with adhesive copper as well and the buzz has gone as much as it ever does in my house, so it worked but am I going to fry?
4. I recently removed the emgs from my blue 62ri jazz and paid a well known local store to wire in the new electronics which I supplied, the pots, pups and brass earth jobbies that go under the pups. As it's a 60s model it has the visible strip on the front.this was a job beyond my technical ablitues so I paid to get it done among other work. On getting it home it really buzzed but in my house most basses do but this was really bad. I unscrewed the pups to look at shielding it and found the bridge brass doodah wasn't connected to anything!!!! So I soldered it to one of the pots is this right? Bit gutted really I paid and he did half a job. Specially as the guy plays a 60s jazz hmself figured he'd know how to wire one! I wired to the neck pup vol pot chassis which was where the neck pup earth brass doodah was wired to is this ok?
5. thanks whoever shrunk the pics I have no clue how to do that!
6. yeah that one only stayed on for a day now it's on my White 75ri and the squier is wearing the White plain one off the 75 which looks awesome.
7. proper fender no screws great nick never fitted, just some teeny tiny marks in the chrome from 'storage' (it fell down the back of a ton of stuff in my wardrobe!) only visible up (very!) close Bridge only left £12 posted
8. depressingly im selling my squier VM jazz right now in the ads
9. Still going guys and gals come on, this is a stellar bargain!
10. Its a budget jazz bass slightly dinker than the norm with a HUGE fat sound, no issues, super low action and a faintly birdseyed maple neck with rosewood board. It laso has one more fret than a standard jazz so you can play high E on the g string. The only issue is that i made holes in the pickguard to mark up for a pick up cover plate but never fitted it. Other than that its as i got it about a month ago. There is details and pics here, ill try to take my own but this pretty much covers it! http://www.johnnybrook.com/product.aspx?prod=jb133 looking for £50 collected Thats a proper bargain! its fully working, well set up and and a top sound!, heck buy it for parts and keep it, while looking aghast at your more expensive basses wondering 'HOW!?!?, WHY!!?!?....just like i did!

Sold

Sadly the credit crunch has bitten and i have to sell yet another bass, this time its my squier vintage mod jazz bass, in top nick home use only and with a very flamey neck and nicely figured body. The bass will be returned to stock for sale (apart from the bridge which i cant find so will have two extra screw holes or i can leave the badass on for an extra £30.) so WONT have the pearl guard in these pics just the regular black one. (AND THE BADASS IT WOULD COME WITH IF THE BUYER WANTED IT WOULD BE CHROME NOT GOLD) Im asking £150 or £180 with (CHROME) badass, and id prefer collection from Cheltenham as i have no way of shipping at the mo, although buyer could arrange collection i guess, or at a real shove i could poss swing something through my old work, if the boss' back is turned. Here are a few pics, ill try to get ones up of her returned to stock Its a great example of a great bass and the flaming is really something else at this price, there is a small nick in the neck you can see in one of the pics, it was there when i bought it and has never bothered me, i figured it was worth it to take home this particular bass rather than get a different one from out the back as it were! Im not much of a photographer, and if anything the flame is more pronounced than in the pics. It sounds flippin awesome too!, infact my Missis persuaded me i should buy its that tasty!, im gutted to sell it, but unless you all fancy a whip round i need to raise some cash fast!, i may also have to flog my stunning streamer LX but im holding off on that as long as i dare!
12.
waste of space - and time
Wow, i wouldnt normally comment, but that was really rude and uncalled for, pretty disappointing on here.
13. I own a geddy and 75ri and while both are ace the 75 is the best bass I've ever owned out of at least a hundred basses, infact after having to sell one due to unfortunate circumstances I bought the same model again as soon as I could. That said I just sold my stunning 86 jazz special with status neck so I could keep my geddy. But if there could only be one of the two in my house on pain of death it'd be the mij jb75-100us just awesome. Intact if you listen to the useless wooden toys songs in my myspazz link below you can here it except on some people and the mans a creep which is a streamer lx Oh and the only highway I ever played was utter garbage so that rather put me off them!
14. active boss, no eq just a battery for the preamps in the pickups, so totally quiet
15. I know it's a crazy price I just need cash quick! I'm gonna relist my squier vmj (£150) and johnny Brooke(£50) jazz and even my stunning 86 jazz special (£500ono) with status neck as soon as I get ten minutes ( I'm on basschat on my phone at the mo) So if anyone fancies one get a pm in quick!
16. Thanks for the thought dude but sadly i just need the money, i REALLY dont wanna sell this one, i had it down as a keeper from day one, but im in some rather dire cash straits right now, so im selling all sorts of stuff i never thought i would! Im even mulling my amazing '86 jazz bass special with status graphite neck, but just mulling at the mo, ive started typing the ad and quit 3 times now cause its such a great bass!
