1.
The BB-1X looks better than it sounds unfortunately!
Oh.
2. Oh not seen that BC-1X yet, looks interesting. As does the BB-1X bass driver.
3. Fistly welcome to the UK. Secondly, my experience is limited to Ibanez and Yamaha 5 stringers, and either would be good build and sound. Something to get you started at least... Cheers Geoff
4. Ive had the pleasure of dealing with Guy a couple of times, good bloke.
5. Looks like its back from the pub.
6.
I think it's 400 watts at 2ohms and 300 at 4 ohms. Also the tolex is gone completely underneath. Can't wait to give it a blast at practice tomorrow.
That's proper road worn mojo. Id leave it as is.
7. VBA400. £300. Oh. Tolex doesn't look at all bad from the front either. Good find!
8.
First of all, thanks again for your amazing support. I had a look for an Op Amp. But i couldn't see anything that looks like this... which is an op amp on wikipedia. Also, i connected cables to the effects return ans get jack in crackles, so I think the speaker is working. I have obtained the amp schematic from here (http://music-electronics-forum.com/attachments/23084d1366992849-mag300.pdf) can anyone spot the op amo, which may help me actually locate it on the amp. Once again, I cannot thank you enough for your support. Chris
Crikey that's a very early 741 opamp. What is wikipedia playing at...?
9. Cracking little amps these. And that is a particularly crackingly good price too.
10. I feel the need to mention Yamaha BB, there's quite a wide range available - passive and active.
11.
I have better pics somewhere I cant find right now, but it's the same kind of idea
Excellent. For some reason it reminds me of the banks of old fashioned point and signal levers in signal boxes. Coat got....
12. Yamaha BB or RBX. Job done. The BB would be my recommendation.
13. Ive had one for 5 years, brilliant bit of kit. Solid, reliable and surprisingly pokey when needed. This a great price too.
14. Recommend the Roland Bass Cubes. The 30w version has served me well for 5 years.
15.
Liking that. I might steal that paragraph for future use
Ditto
16. Ha nice one Steve, look forward to you thoughts about them. Have both compacts gone now? Geoff
17.
So what you're saying is, his amp now needs a front brake?
That's a Triumph of a joke
18.
Either that, or surreal.
Its taken me 4 days to get that. Doh!
19. If your amp is too loud then you need a quieter one. Please send me your LH500 and I will send you my 200w Trace Elliot head in return. Ahem....
20. I didn't know the LH500 has a parallel effects loop, well there ya go. Bit naff as there's no blend control either, which kinda restricts it somewhat.
21.
Great place to park your bike if you keep your amp in the hall.
And your pedals LOL
22.
Just to close this loop, I held out and was recently lucky enough to find on this forum a nice used example of the TE 300SMC I already have. So now I've got 2 of the best and I'm a happy bass bunny!! Glad I listened to the guys on here who said that's what I should do
And that is the perfect result, nice one.
23.
It seems like I've started a TE fan club
Yep, we're all Green with envy Sorry....
24. Yeah take the discount and enjoy the road worn mojo of the cab, well some will pay more for the same to be done to their guitars. Cracking deal you got there.
