1.
I'm still thinking shall I get rid of my Ashdown LB30 which is the same as the CTM30. Running it with a trace elliot 15 atm but not enough juice if no PA support, but with PA support its all good. BF cab is too expensive for me atm but I keep hearing the BF goes well with the ashdown LB30/CTM30.
Don't ditch the LB30, I still regret selling mine. I was using it with a single BF Compact and it was great. I used it with a pair of Compacts for a while, and that was just lovely
 2.
Dare I say it but I prefer this to the old valve drive on the ABM EVO
Oh. I need to find a darkened room to lie down. Oh.
 3.
I just went back to the Super Bassman 300. They do have a good sound.
Ive never had the pleasure of playing through one, but my god they look so classy.
 4.
You went out with Cher..?
Great days, if only I could turn back time....
 5.
Gruvgear also do a thing like a rubber flap
Mmmmmmm rubber flaps, now that takes me back...
 6. Yes the cost of the capacitor is probably quite low. However the time and expertise involved in tracing the fault is where the real value, and cost, lies. That's why there are electronics experts to fix our gear.
 7.
Why on earth is this still available?! I ran one of these with a TE 4 x 10 back in the day and it remains one of the most versatile Amos I've ever used. Regret selling to this day!
Yeah I reckon the price is pretty good for this particular Trace head. Not sure I want to drop it further and would prefer to donate it to a local school which is crying out for quality gear like this for their music department.
 8.
Now if they would just do a 100 watter for just a little less in a slightly smaller box, that would be very appealing indeed.
Aye indeed. The Little Bastard chassis would be fine for me
 9.
It's probably a condition, I could get a parking badge or something...
Ditto. Except in my case the badge would either be the wrong colour or the wrong shape. Or something like that...
 10. Yes both the Ashdown ABM and MAG ranges use the same Mosfet output stage, and which are uncannily similar the the Trace Elliot amps, even using the same mosfet devices at times. No surprise there as they are all designed by the same chap, Clive Button. Trace did go through a bipolar phase for a while, but this didn't really work well as they had a habit of going pop due to a weak earthing point inside the amp, causing instability in the output section.
 11.
Bass hat strikes again! Having read this thread I've just ordered one.
You've ordered a Bass hat? Left or right handed...? Could be a cap-o, I guess
 12.
Dear All, Hello fellow bassists! I'm on the Experience Engagement team with MUSIC Group, which includes BUGERA, and I just wanted to drop in to clarify the power ratings we use on the VEYRON heads, as well as our other amplified products. As has been indicated here, we rate our amps based on peak power output rather than RMS. To paraphrase our CEO, Uli Behringer, on the matter, this is because we, like many manufacturers, have found the traditional way of measuring RMS with a sine-wave is not necessarily the best predictor of actual amplifier performance. Since maximum power measurements are not standardized across the industry, to assume the “RMS" of the Veyron amp to be 500W based on the 2000W rating would be incorrect. You can read a full explanation of our CEO's thoughts on the topic in this thread on SoundForums.net: https://soundforums.net/threads/4299-Uli-Behringer-of-The-Music-Group-Q-amp-A?p=32194&viewfull=1#post32194 Thanks all, and let me know if you have any other questions about these amps or our other products.
Hi For the sake of having a level playing field, what is the 'RMS' rating of this head? Cheers Geoff
 13.
This is not a BB1200S bass... This is a modified BB1000s bass
I really like BB's, but I'm no expert on them. This one caught my eye - what clues make you say that? Thanks Geoff
 14.
Can't believe this is still here 😧
Me neither type bump.
 15. If anyone is nearby, Guitarguitar in Epsom have had a Retroglide on display for a few weeks...
 16. I used my evo 3 with both one and two compacts for a couple of years. No complaints there 😊
 17.
God, what a poof! Gives bass players a bad name. I had an 11-hour double operation for an umbilical hernia and a major gastric procedure and was back playing my Fender bass - standing up - within four days. You can't miss a rehearsal just like that. I smiled through the terrible pain and told no-one. But then, I'm a proper bloke.
You Sir, are everything I aspire to be.
 18. Id suggest anything that has 'Yamaha' and 'BB' in the name
 19.
The collective noun for fleas is a 'circus'.
Well, anything to scratch an itch, I say
