Hi OBBM, Your Muggins theory is probably spot on for 1 & 3 but number 2 will be done by whatever powers up in that frequency range in 2012. I think it's going to become a Europe wide harmonized channel for mobile phones IIRC. It'll be interesting to see how the manufactures will wind down production of equipment in the (soon to be) defunct frequency ranges. I reckon I have a sneaking suspision of the answer! News just in! Channel 69 (854-862 MHz) is definitely to be cleared by 2012 so we will be losing that channel. It's replacement is to be Channel 38 (606-614 MHz). See JFMG's News page about it[url="http://www.jfmg.co.uk/pages/news/whatsnew.htm#ch38"]HERE[/url]

I got one for the same reasons you did. Apart from there only being a Gain, Bass & Treble controls is a lovely sounding unit and would highly recommend it. With a bit of tweaking you can get some great sounds going. I've done loads of gigs and recording with mine and it's solid as a rock. Cheers, Jon

The thing with live sound is that even the Guitards will more than likely be gated/eq'd/compressed/limited to oblivion anyway so you are always at the sound persons mercy. This is where the Mate with a bit of sound nouse comes in handy - he/she can stand near to the soundman and speak for you!

We pay lots of dough for that rig. Just make sure your raw bass sound going into the D.I. is the best it can be. Obviously a gig where the bass is non-P.A. supported and all the sound is coming from your rig then that's best for everyone to enjoy your gear but then you get into mechanical coupling, acoustic coupling and sound dispertion issues!
