I have just acquired my second iteration of this wonderful pedal. I was too impatient the first time around. I wanted to twiddle a knob and instantly produce the perfect synth bass sound. Ignoring the facts that I had no grasp of midi, no familiarity with the editing software, no clue what the different physical controls were for. To my shame I got cross that this complex machine wasn't more simple, and got rid. I'm more teachable now, I've even gone through the manual! However, in trying to recreate a patch created by someone else, I've come across a problem. Their patch has some sliders which are split. Thus: And for the life of me I can't work out how to achieve this 'split'. Any ideas would be very welcome. Thanks.

Played God's waiting room in Wiltshire last night. You expect the hearse to turn up at any moment. I won't name the venue out of respect for the recently deceased. Despite the zombie audience and the adhesive which kept them in their seats, the band played well and enjoyed itself. Tiny stage, nice sound, tight performance. Got paid and got the hell back to civilisation.

Last night's board Least number of pedals ever for me. The volume pedal is because I never managed to properly balance the levels of my C4 patches. The tuner isn't an effect so really I went out with just one pedal.

Well, speaking as someone who owns several reasonably high end basses, and a ton of Harley Bentons too, I can honestly say the quality of the HBs is so good why not own as many of them as you can fit in your room? I have and appreciate gorgeous basses which cost plenty and I often choose to gig a Harley over them. Price seems almost entirely irrelevant these days.

I totally get it. I'm a collector too. I build new boards all the time because I love to do it. Mine are messier, generally a bit cheaper, and less painstakingly assembled, but that's just a reflection of my somewhat chaotic personality.

Saw The Lovely Eggs supported by The Loose Articles and Violet Malice this week in Bristol on board the Thekla. It took me back to the early 80s. Politically savvy punk and performance poetry. Absolutely belting.

1) Ampeg SVT CL. It's not a sound it's an experience. 2) Trace Elliot Elf. Blows me away every single time. Ridiculously good amp in a tiny package. 3) Bugera Veyron BV1001M. Never, ever had a bad sound out of this. Volume to spare, fantastic tone. I have many amps but these are at the top of my personal pile.

I just bought one of these HB Mustangs 2nd hand assuming they were permanently discontinued. However, this is a different spec so I expect to get one once I can decide on the colour.

Never tried the Warwick but I regularly gig with two of the Trace Elf 1x10 cabs. They get the job done 👌
