Speaking as a person who has been asked back by bands I flounced from, and by band members who flounced from me, it can work just fine.
We all change, circumstances change, and at the end of the day it's just music.
Buy this bass. Seriously. Somebody will be getting a really great instrument for just 100 quid.
The coolest looking basses these, and they sound, feel, and play like something three or four times more expensive.
Daryl, you are an absolute inspiration to me. I too value the work I've put in over many decades and the money I've invested and I don't work without I get paid. Not only are you living proof that age doesn't have to stop us working but you're so damn cool as well
Weekly Bandeoke residency last night. First use of my HB short scale. It sounded amazing I have to say.
Probably a lot to do with the incredible sound I've found through the Source Audio Ultrawave to be fair
After owning this pedal for a little while now, I finally used it successfully at a gig last night.
Up until now I'd been hamstrung by not understanding the editor and so relying on patches made by others which I then couldn't tweak to suit my needs
So what changed? I found this video . It completely demystified so much of the editor that I was able to build and modify a series of patches, all of which I employed yesterday to great effect.
I hope some other befuddled Basschatter finds it useful
Theo Katzmann in Bristol. One of the best gigs I've ever been to.
D I Joe on bass, musicianship from everyone was entirely off the charts, and he's such a great songwriter.
Truly wonderful
Never felt the need to change the pickups so I honestly can't say.
Some people who have stronger views on these things change them without trying them.
I've never had a problem with the parts on HB basses. Funnily enough I was thinking about this in relation to the Sandberg I mentioned earlier. The finish is bubbling and peeling off one of the tuners - I noticed it on Friday - never had anything like that on my 'cheap' basses.
