  1. Excellent seller too.
  2. Indeed. The key difference was Tony told me exactly what needed doing to establish which wires went where. No matter, I'm grateful when anyone offers advice if I have a problem. I just feel the particular advice which enables me to solve a problem deserves particular and specific thanks. I mean no disrespect to anyone else.
  3. As it happens my next one will be a Greek one from the workbench of Chris Tsakalis. Has its own octave which will save a pedal on the board. I will then be deciding which one of three will have to go. Otherwise I'll won't have the money for my next one.
  4. @basstone thank you so much Tony. This is why I come to you for my repairs. Diagnosed the problem from a photograph and gave clear instructions as to how to fix it. All done and sounds great. Probably my imagination but it seems to sound louder 🤷🏻‍♂️.
  5. ... to learn. I, this very morning, just learned what a pentatonic scale is. Been playing bass since the early 1980s, written more bass lines than I care to remember, been in countless bands of all different styles. And I only even heard of it recently. Since when it seemed to crop up over and over. So I decided to find out what it is. If I'd been shown it at my first guitar lesson chances are I'd never have switched to the bass. Just goes to show. Not sure what it goes to show though. Anyway sorry, talking about music, y'all get back to arguing about Brexit.
  6. Not yet! I've been through so many but not that one.
  7. Funnily enough I was looking at the Seamoon this week as my search for a filter pedal I can actually get to work goes on. I love the sound of it but I always love the sound when other people are using filter pedals.
  8. I have had similar issues with synth pedals. In the end I ran a parallel loop with my clean signal in it. So even if the synth dropped out the note was still there.

    NPD - Zoom B1

Congrats! Very very handy tool as you so rightly say. Runs on AA batteries too!
  10. I can't face wading through all of the above so apologies if this has already been mentioned.
  11. Hands off
  12. Anyone out there who is still using one of these? Or is it just me...? Just after some tips to get started, I feel I'm missing something in my use of the software.
  13. Thanks Tony, I'll have a look.
  14. Just bought a Gruvgear strap from Paddy. Arrived well packaged in good time and the whole transaction was, quite simply, a pleasure. Delighted to recommend this most splendid Basschatter.
  15. I just heard the lockdown is back, so no work = no Zoom cash.
  16. That's wonderful, thank you so much @FDC484950
  17. To be honest, I can't imagine my gigging career amounting to much (boring health reasons) so it's time I tried to wean myself off this shopping addiction.
  18. Apparently not. They can't sell some products to the UK, they can't guarantee delivery, the post office can hold goods and demand tax payment before releasing them, there is a long thread about the various problems.
  19. oh God
  20. I don't need anything. Got more than I need on every conceivable area, from straps to mic stands, pa speakers to bass heads. However I intend to save for a Plethora X5 and incorporate it into my 2021 three tier mega board. Just for the sheer hell of it. As to my wishes just one. Please can Thomann be allowed to find a practical way into the British Market, maybe open Thomann UK. The thought of never getting another Bentley Hardon bass makes me very unhappy. See also HB patch cables, strings, cases, bass amps and cabs.
  21. When pig5hit wants to describe someone who is thick it says as thick as Stew Black
  22. Aha! I watched this too today. Brilliant isn't it?
  23. You probably worked this out a long time ago, but just in case anyone else is as dim as me - when setting up these tests use a looper, record a good 20 - 30 seconds up and down strings and fretboard. I literally only started doing it this way yesterday 🤦🏼‍♂️ No more play, stop, reach over bass, fiddle with pedal, play, stop, reach over bass, fiddle with pedal repeat.
  24. Fascinating stuff BB. I am new to the practical, nuanced application of compression. I just used to turn it on and go for it. Sounds like the toneprint is the perfect tool. I won't buy any TCE pedals though because I am saving up for the Plethora so any money spent on individual TCE pedals is money wasted. Obviously now Thomann is off the table I'll be saving a lot longer. UK retailers, already more expensive, can pretty much charge what they like from now on.
