1. dont know havent been along yet but will give it a go see what happens
 2.
That's my take on it too. We all know that the most important issue in a band is for everyone to get on, so the best thing to do in an ad is be as honest as possible about what you're looking for and hopefully filter out any bad matches before even meeting them. I also can't see any point in arguing about what they're asking for or trying to persuade them to relax a requirement just to suit you. If, for example, they don't want smokers or people with blue eyes or anything else and you don't match then just move on. If they can find their perfect match then good for them. If they can't then presumably they'll change their requirements, but that's up to them and trying to persuade them they won't find anyone as specified so should consider you instead is a pointless waste of time. Besides, any 'wanted' ad says a lot about them and if you don't like the ad it's a fair bet you won't like them either. Life is short, move on.
but sometimes its worth a cheeky punt i replied to a local ad november 2013 ish by a local guy who had plenty of original material and wanted to form an all female backing band so after checking out the original material and thinking to myself i could add some value with original bass lines, i sent off a cheeky reply basically saying that i liked the original material and that if he changed his mind on the all female criteria to get in touch got an email back a couple of days ago asking if i was still interested
 3.
They want 'attitude' but not 'bad attitude'
i think they meant 'charisma' - but they probably couldnt think of the the word for it

 6.
For that type of event and line-up..I would say 14:00 is not that bad a time.. For many festivals, it is as much about the time slot rather than the 'prestige' fo going on late. Hope it goes well.... if the weather is good..the crowd will be there by that time, I'd suggest
the time slot is virtually superfluous when you take into account the unpredictable nature of the weather especially if youre at a festival where there is a stage inside a large marquee one minute you might have 50-100 peeps watching your band - next minute is pissing down and the entire crowd is rammed inside the marquee!

 10. Never lend more than you can afford to give away
 11. we had a similar discussion once in a thread about those fast running disco octaves in donna summer numbers and my suggestion which many concurred with is that you actually need to relax more on the playing but 'think ahead' more on the timing until it all clicks and falls into place
