1.
There are no geographic limitations for this giveaway. Warwick will pay the shipping anywhere in the world...however, the winner is responsible for any local duties.
anyone who works in marketing/pr and who might be as cynical as I, might offer the suggestion that these prize draw competitions could possibly be 'pre-determined' , but not being in marketing/PR myself I couldnt possibly confirm or deny this
 2.
So have I and I hope to win it.
how much is it worth? maybe i could win that too and flog it on evilbay and get a nice early jap TRB6

 4.
£1200 or so i think, Korea Warwick rather than German
do the korean warwicks feel more or less like handling a gnarled broom handle than the german warwicks? i <3 the tone of warwicks but i fear id need a stunt double to play it for me
 5.
The best way to describe how much it costs is simply "lots"
cool - maybe i could get a new status and fingers crossed there'll be a few hundred left for the new tyres too!

 8.
"Before punk all we had was Quo"
http://youtu.be/_rYWx-erzio

 10.
Music is infinite. We are all beginners.
not only this but also... the definition of expert/expertise is rather wide imo if you talk about this you need to define the parameters or specific area of expertise to which you are referring otherwise the whole thing is just a bit too vague and generalised
 11. been a big fan of them since i discovered them when at school back in 76 buddy buddy friends and shes a windup are good ones to play too tis a shame that the mainstream media insists on only playing milk and alcohol when they have so much more great material in their catalogue
 12. see my current thread i can suppress the bass GAS but please spare a thought for those of us with GGAS .... 'General' GAS anyone who is a graphic designer will appreciate the allure of all things cute and shiny - shelf after shelf of gorgeous books that only ever get looked at (mind you a fair number of them are pics/design only so nothing to read - win/win!!) there is no cure!
 13. surprised Jeff Berlin hasnt come on here and mentioned himself yet
 14.
True, and vice-versa. Hence the number of successful 'artists' with no discernible talent.
thank goodness for BGT redressing the balance! after all they do have talent it says so in the title!!
 15.
In my experience you're either not as good as you think you are, or way better. Very rarely can you rate yourself accurately and neither should you.
this speaking as a 'visual artist' it is one of the most common things to hinder progress of art/design professionals is the misguided self doubt and excessive and mostly unwarranted self criticism of their own work - similar priniciple applies to musicians a healthy degree of self criticism is fine but dont let it get you down to the point where you devalue your own worth and talent consequently dont let it go the other way either or you could end up singing with The Faces
 16. ie this does not mean your backing band should work for free just so you can bring the wife and kids along
 17. Notwithstanding all of the above... Consider this Does the financial hit you and the other backing musicians are taking (for altruistic reasons) equate to approximately the costs of having the missus and the nippers freeloading the bandwagon? If so then it doesn't take the brains of a bishop to figure out who is paying for the family holiday Hope you have better luck with your next musical venture
 18. just stumbled across this - fantastic P tone - Adrian Belew Power Trio http://blip.tv/abpt/...kpalast-1814965
 19.
...drummer owns the mains lead, etc ...
you wouldnt be trying to tempt the drummer to get his fingers near those little square holes in the wall would you now?!
 20. http://youtu.be/EaIZjqQHPAk
 21. just thinking out loud - sorry cant test this as dont have one to hand but would one of these thumb picks be able to be adapted? im thinking have it on your middle/first finger with the pick part between your first and middle finger so that it is gripped between the two fingers and you can then rest your thumb on the top of the first joint of the first finger hope that makes sense
 22.
I experienced a fair bit of it earlier in the year when selling on here. A pattern emerged that put me right off dealing with newbies.
talking of which .... am i the only person thinking that access to the sale forums should be ringfenced until you reach a specified number of posts?
 23.
On the one hand, I bet this guy's wife gets a LOT of "headaches" and your bass just happens to be the latest cause. On the other hand, you could ask somebody to record you for a 20 seconds or so with their phone or something. This would be enough to see if the bass is really too loud but not something more subtle, like just not sitting nicely in the mix. Sometimes it is the cranky people that have the honesty to put you on to a problem, even if they do it the wrong way.
there is also the option that it could be an acoustic issue with the room and maybe mrs miggins was unfortunately sat in one of those 'high spots' where the acoustics resonate your bass frequencies out of proportion
 24.
Maybe I'll suggest he takes up ventriloquism...
my tingly spider senses tell me this may not be too far from the truth perhaps?? maybe Mr Miggins isnt actually too bothered, and perhaps it is 'she who must be obeyed' who is using poor old Mr Miggins as her mouthpiece as for the DFA knob ... turn it all the way up to eleven
 25. replied to an ad about a month ago for a function band who responded straight away saying they would see how much response they got and set up auditions accordingly - so several weeks go by and get an email to confirm auditions and do i still want to attend - replied yes - then their reply comes back all of three days before the audition with the caveat check our facebook page for the songs we will be concentrating on at the audition the facebook page contains 22 videos - looking at their set list there is not actually a great deal that i am unfamiliar with and could happily just go in cold for 90% ...edit - i would add that in their favour it would be reasonable to assume that anyone who was serious about auditioning for a busy function band really should have a good working knowledge of at least two thirds of the set anyway to be able to hit the ground running so to speak working under pressure is not the issue here but is this not ridiculously unrealistic expectations? - am i the only one thinking this is a bit much? - if Brian May himself were to offer me the Queen bass gig im sure i could make sure I learn the entire set in a day if necessary - but a local function band?? really??
