Anyone know if there is a genuine aftermarket black scratchplate available for a 2000 G T'bird?

Hmmm.. The Police. So Lonely. I think in the 3rd verse, the bass comes in on completely the wrong beat. The Police. Roxanne. Listen thru headphones and you can distinctly hear a number of edits, often the tape hiss gives it away. Beatles. Day Tripper. Where was Macca going at the end of that song just as it fades. It sounds very much like he has lost his place in the song. I love hearing mistakes in stuff and imagining the produce saying something like "Look, it really doesn't matter. Yes YOU notice it, because you played it.. but the punters are too stupid to hear it mate. We'll just let it go OK?"

Could be one of the original Klystron Bass Magnifiers? What does it say on the front? I have one of these very early 1x15 200W combos too. I think you should aim for the "first of a classic range" type thing and aim for the future collactability!! Otherwise.. no idea of price.

Ah bugger it. Well I suppose it edges me towards changing my gear then. If I can find a nice, loud, fat but fun and very lightweight 4x10 4ohm then I think that may be my option. Or maybe re-coning it?

All my basses are passive, and it is with any bass I play through it.

Hi Being a technical goof I'm not sure, but I think the speaker in my Ashdoen mini 15 is in a little trouble!! There is a quite obvious fuzz sound after playing a note, as soon as it decays. I'm guessing it's damaged in some way. This happens at any volume BTW. Anything I can do or tests to pin down what it may be? Cheers Mark

Not a trick really, but I love having my wireless system so I can bugger off into the audience as and when the mood takes me. Sitting down at a table with some unsuspecting punters as I rattle out a bassline can be fun And on a practical note, it allows you to hear the sound mix out front too.

One lovely and totaly awesome Shuker JJB bass is now in my hands and I'd like to say what a total pleasure it has been dealing with Clarky. It's great to have total faith in some one when you are carrying out a remote transaction, he has been helpfull throughout and I can 100% recommend Clarky for a straight up honest deal. Top class geezer! I have a small amount of guilt for hassling him about selling his JJB.. but that guilt is very quickly fading as I just can't put the damn thing down, and it's all mine now!!! Thanks again and I promise I'll look after it like one of my own limbs! Mark

Was watching the Elvis in Vegas prog on TV last night and was reminded how damn hot his bass player was. Well in fact the whole band, but it was the bassist and drummer that just drove those songs along. Was he session player?
