1. £100 for a PJ Squier sounds a bargain to me. Good one!
 2. Hi from Herts. Welcome to BC
 3. It obviously needs to be oil/spirit based paint, but I guess gloss or matt won't make a lot of difference. Do you have a good, large water tank to do this in? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHqPkkSpLZk
 4. Looking good, Shame that natural isn't an option. Is the black we see on the back what remains of the original paint? How are you stripping?
 5. Westone Spectrum ST with amp for £100. Located in London http://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-bass-amplifiers/bass-guitar-westone-amp-case-stand/1129957046
 6. I have just sold my Fender P to Stephen. He's a good guy to deal with. We had great communications and he's a man of his word. Fast payment and he confirmed as soon as the bass arrived. I would very much like to work with him again. An excellent all round experience. Many thanks Steve.
 7.
Nope they seem to of gone
1 pic is back up again. Nice.
 8.
Still for sale
I can't see the pics. Is it just me?
 9. Nice bass. If only this was a 4... but then if it was it would possibly not be listed here. I'm near Bath later this week, if anyone wants this collected and brought up to the London area.
 10.
We got the anti-gravity add on when we bought our Wi-Fi bundle. 😏
Ahh... you obviously get yours from Sky.
 11.
..recently added a set of D'addario tapewounds and it's sounding and feeling ace. None more black!
Nice! BTW, how do you keep the cushions on the sofa, when you stand it up like that? Mine keep falling off.
 12.
Looks like Norstrand DC4 might work as well!
Very possibly. The size looks about right. I'd check out the string options though. £220 for pups is, in my book, a lot of dosh when the originals sound pretty good anyway. My guess is the punters down the pup won't notice the difference.
 13.
this is the same as my 1st ever proper bass
Ditto. Mine was identical. Nice slim neck too. I don't recall it being so heavy though. It's a good bass. GLWTS
 14.
Can you delete this thread please mods? I've found what I was looking for. Thanks.
Good. Please can you save me some time and post a link or the information here? I've got a good size bag here to go to them.
 15.
Sorry, the white bass isn't for sale. Is only there as its in my photo bucket album. Sorry if the description is confusing? Are you genuinely interested? What is confusing about the description? I'm Trying to be as honest as possible about the condition of the guitars
It's probably just me, don't worry about it. But if you look at how I've re-worded your description, you can see how headings and separating the wording for the 2 instruments helps. I'm not interested. I don't play guitar and might even be giving up bass soon. I just come here out of some sort of Basschat addiction. GLWTS
 16.
What Pickups will drop in straight out?
Bartolini make some suitable pups. http://www.bartolini.net/product/4-string-bass-soapbars/ The BC4C-B and BC4C-T seem about the right thing. I doubt I'll rush though, the stock ones seem ok and it would be sensible to see what different strings sound like first. The higher priority could be replacement pots. The pre-amp seems very versatile, but the pots are a bit stiff.
 17. Doesn't "price hike" mean price rise? It always did in the past.
 18. Sold. Possibly regretting it already.
 19. Withdrawn. I'd rather sell on Gumtree than deal with some of the folk here.
 20.
What Pickups will drop in straight out?
Interesting question. I will be back to you on that.
 21.
Just received a lovely Jazz bass delivered to the door by Nige. Great transaction, great comms, great service and great to meet Nige. He is a star and a credit to BC. Deal with confidence, no fuss, no hassle, no stress, just as it should be on the forum. Nice one Nige. Mike (Pestie) It's another 5 stars from me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lucky man there! That is a nice bass. Nige knows how to look after his gear.
 22.
Yes I did think that might arouse your disgust! I think I'm in a minority in that I find modern coffee table basses attractive and I also love the Leo shapes and designs.
With all the things wrong with that bass, as a great favour, for £10 I'll help you out and take it away... how's that? I can't say fairer than that, can I? (It's a good lookin' bass, honest, and you like it... nuff said.)
 23. Is this what you're trying to say?
Hi all, For sales or trades are the following 2 guitars. Please read descriptions properly and understand the condition of these guitars. I will add photos when not doing This on my phone and can be emailed or messaged to anyone who wants to see them. 1997 Korean Squier Telecaster Gorgeous maple neck (always gets positive comments, recent custom cut nut and std tuners) Really nice weight body, slab on belt cut, string through the bridge, no string holes through body. Body has been sanded and painted black and sanded. Looks semi relic but not done well (I was 17!) gaffa tape on both strap buttons and on body next to them. White esquire, perloid while (and if I find it, original white) pick guards included. Electrics have been wired as esquire but not done well and would need rewiring. Neck pickup not included (unless I find it somewhere). Oval screwed on Jack socket has been added. This instrument does play and puts out a noise in current state. Included is moulded soft case. Sort of looks like a gig bag but is foam mould for tele and can go on back. Squier vintage modified Custom tele This is the older model that has to two std humbuckers, not a tele custom. Neck has been tru oiled but needs finishing and buffing. Is starting to gloss but isn't finished. Tuners are included but not fitted. No nut on neck. Body (black, poly/ original) and scratch plate are all fine. Screw on Jack socket added. I bought Axes r us deluxe humbuckers that have not been fitted so there is no wiring inside guitar but sale includes new pickups and whatever pots I can find. Comes in economy non branded gig bag. These guitars MUST go together unless two members agree both. But I don't want to be left with one. I'm happy to take offers on the price, it is definitely not set in stone. I would also consider trades for pedals or amps/ heads. I just don't have the conviction to fix these both up and play bass all the time anyway. Any questions please ask. Again, photos can be provided. http://s12.photobuck...nes999/library/ Please take these off me!
I guess the nice white Fender that's also shown in the Photobucket folder isn't included, or is it? I have to say I found the description confused. If I'm confused, so will any other buyer. If they're confused they won't buy. GLWTS
