1.
Just reeding on here about peoples first bass's so was wondering what every body had. My first bass was my dads first bass. A Washburn B10.
Mine was a Yamaha BBN4. Ive still got it - only its now got Basslines Pickups in it and a MM style scratchplate. It's ace actually.
2. lol, yep I'd spotted that... :-) Interested...but just curious - what corners are cut?
3. is this still for sale?
4. Nice Where are you?
5. How would this differ from a USA one? Wood? Electrics? Cheers C
6. SOLD Right....sense of Deja Vu here. Probably the third time this has been up on here, but for various reasons previous deals fell through and I have been too busy to get it going again. So, I am starting a new thread, but the old one can be found here - old thread It's and Envy Green SR5, limited edition black headstock and maple board. It's been with me for about 5 years I think, plays beautifully and sounds wonderful, with no issues and the original hard case. It's in very good condition - only a slight bit of tarnishing to the pole pieces, and a very small light swirl on the back from a belt, but the bass has actually been used, so I would not describe it as shop fresh. However, I would say VERY GOOD CONDITION, and let's remember that this would have cost about £1500 when new. The pictures are in the old thread linked above - I am trying to put some in the new one but I need to clear some old attachments to make space and it is not working at the moment... Edit - here they are So, bass is in Nottingham, please come and try it if you can, it's lovely. Reason for this move is that I mainly play drums these days, and my bass playing is depping. This along with the fact that I need cash for other projects means that this can go.. Either offer me close to £850, or trade me your Precision plus some cash for this (or what else have you got?) Thanks for looking. Chris
7. the ported 2x10 has loads of bottom - easily the match for the 15. I've had both
8. OK, you can always make me an offer....
9. FWIW, I have a CIJ Blue Flower Telecaster reissue, that is Basswood, and it is one of the finest sounding guitars I own. I think it's a bit of a snob value issue to be honest. And as someone said, Bongos are Basswood....
10. and a little BUMP for edit....See first post. Chris
11.
TC Electronics Classic 450 Amp Head - link to full specs here http://www.tcelectronic.com/classic450.asp 450 watts at 4 ohms. Bass, Low-Mid, High-Mid, treble eq. Spectracomp Compression, Tubetone valve emulation. Dimensions (metric) 275 x 290 x 66. Weight 4kg. I bought this amp in Dec 2010 from Clarky, who had bought it new, in Oct/Nov 2010. The amp is incredibly versatile, and can go from modern hi-fi slap sounds, to downright tube-ridden filth, with a few simple adjustments. So far I`ve hooked it up to Marshall, Ampeg, and Eden cabs, and when I bought it, through a Markbass cab, and it sounds great through all of them. With the performance and portability, this is one amazing amp. Comes with a Gig Skinz padded carry bag - see link here http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...z_Gig_Bags.html I will put photos of this, and the amp up later. £425.00 ono, payment via Paypal as a gift please. I`m happy to post, via courier, at buyers expense. Cash on collection is a very viable option. No trades thanks, selling this to pay for the Ampeg that I`ve just bought!
My F1 might sell so I might be interested. Pm sent
12. Littlemark Rocker sounds good too....
13. Well, I'm after a bit of grit. Looked on Youtube at demos, both seem nice. So, bit of subtle valve warmth, through to a good valve distortion - what would you get> Cheer Chris
14. Hi Ok, I fancy a bit of a change, for something offering a bit of grit. I have a minty mint Markbass F1, with the extra rack ears, and potentially a case too. It's ace, very clean and clear and fast. £400 without ears or case, £415 with the ears, or £445 in the SKB case pictured. (plus postage, or in Nottingham). Trades - Orange Terror Bass, TC Classic 450, Ashdown EVO500, Littlemark Rocker or similar.... I cannot find any marks of any significance on it at all, and it works perfectly. Cheers for looking Chris
15.
Interested in an Ashdown ABM 410T Cab? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=ashdown Let me know because I can delivery quite easily to Nottingham (I spend most of my time nearby in Derby)
Quite possibly mate yes. Although I think a bit of cash would need to come my way so what you think?
16. oops wrong section - sorrry, can it be moved please?
17. OK, this is the 4 ohm model, VGC. here is a link One of these. I want to return to a 4*10, possibly EBS. Or just sell for £350. Nottingham. Chris
18. ok just bumping this up.
19. Thanks, but not really up for a jazz fiver. The bass is a 2004 I think, but cannot remember for sure. Certainly not much older than this if at all. It has the original hard case included.
20. OK, here we go again. I am drumming 95% of the time nowadays, and could do with the cash, so here it is. See first post for full info.
21. Used mine last night with my F1 - well my band did, I was drumming. It sounded really really good.
22. Traded my CMD 102p for his F1 and Tecamp S210. Great chap, deal with confidence :-)
23. Hi Sorry to hear your prob. Might be worth checking the speaker lead wiring. Other than that I know a decent tech in Nottm. Were you gigging plainsman nye? Any good? We did Xmas eve there (I drum in Buster) and it was rammed.
