1. This is a very very very nice Roadie....someone do me a personal favour and get in touch with Mick and buy it!!!! N x
2. Hi Kev! Just in case you missed this on the JD porno thread - am up for a swap back if you are, if the sale does not come off (I'm sure the buyer will go for it, that bass just oozes bassness!)! Cheers! Nick
3. ...I do miss the Calibas!! Let me know - am up for that! Cheers! Nick
4. That is a nice one! Me want! Zut alors!
5. I'm really liking that Mick! It combines a few classics, JD GA, Manson etc but still retains its own shape if you know what I mean! Must be that 28th Dec thing!
6. Hi Kev! I actually got to play the Calibas Twin when I bought your Calibas! It sounded incredible, almost like a Moog bass tone but weighed a ton! I think it sold on Ebay! Hope all well with you - fancy swapping the Calibas for a rather superb OW??! Cheers! N x
7. Les Vigiers sont tres bon! My main bass (out of the 80 I now have!) is still my trusty Arpege with the world's best neck and still using my new Arpege Delta metal too!
8. Now taking bookings for Jan 2012...! Peace and Love! N x
9. It is a shame and had things worked out differently, it would have been my shop one day! However, the shop has faced massive competition from the internet etc but all is not lost, there is a brand new shop open already in Orton Southgate called The Guitar Lounge and a certain local pro bass player with at least 68 basses has opened a small but perfectly formed bass shop on the premises, where he teaches the noble art as well....I wonder who it could be?!! Take care fans! Nick
10.
Looks like a series 1 body shape- I'm guessing as early as '81.
Its a Series II but the neck pickup is a tad closer to the neck than normal! Does give it a Series I vibe though brother!

13. Hmmm....! If it were one of John's old basses it might be worth somewhere in the region of £20K but that is a lot of wonga.... Where's my agent? N x
14. Allo! A fine bass! It looks to me like a fairly early model, reason being the body edge has the older style `Fender' radius as opposed to the deeper `curved' rad that most Jaydees have - I would hazard a guess that its from 1982 or '83! Knobs on JDs vary as John would chop and change to suit, plus owners tend to modify them too! The serial number will allow a date to be ascertained! Keep it funkae! Nick (Mick, you are most welcome to visit me anytime apart from Mondays!! Give me a bell though just in case! 07961 880770!)
15.
wait for it..... Doctor of the Bass will appear and sort it..Nick....where are you?
Yes! Its a lovely Series II model! Great looking bass in superb condition!!! xxx
16.
Price drop, 725£ ONO, i think this is more than reasonable price! But unfortunately i need cash immediately
PM on its way!!! Nick (yes! its me!)
17.
My new beautiful new Calibas 6 string. The serial number suggests that it's a 1988 model. It off to John tomorrow for a set up and service.
That's a fine bass sir! She is certainly an '88 model...x Nice one! Nick (missing her already!)
18. Allo Friends! Just to letchall know, am aht playing in Leicester this Friday at The Musician - we (www.cliffbrownband.com) are supporting Larry Miller - should be on at around 8pm - I believe there is a small entry fee (we are not seeing any of this but its a good gig for the band!). Be great to see some BCers there! Bring fresh sets of Elites bass strings (in the packet!) to throw at me! Cheers! Nick x
19. If I can move my Teal bass then expect a knock on your door (have two guys interested!!) - love the natural finish!! Nick x
20. Meant to add, if anyone wants to come over to Peterborough for the open day celebration `partae' on Sunday 5th June, you are more than welcome - pm me for more details! Hoping to get the website up and running in the next week or so, plus a proper advert on here etc!! Cheers! Nick (the basis is basses!)
21. Hi! Yes, I'm still alive!!!! Just to let you know, I'm now bassed (yes!) in a brand new studio just off the A1 near Peterborough - great coffee available - more news to follow once I've cleared it with the Mods (just a hint but the words `quality' `sale' `for' `basses' come into play too!!) - I'm very close to the A605 and Peterborough Services - a very relaxed studio atmosphere etc! Bass is the way forward! PM me or call me on 07961 880 770! Bless ya! Nick
22. Hallo! The GA 24 is around 14 inches wide I think Steve....! There's a new bass shop opening here in Peterborough (cough cough!) and the guy has a pink GA for sale and a 6 string Calibas, plus a replica of the famous red Live At Wembley Classic bass in red which is not for sale but you can have a go on it, if you like - the guy there is a really nice fella, name sounds a bit like Rick Stiff! cheers!!! Nick O
23. Thanks Guys! Still very early days but more information to come - the official opening is Sunday 5th June!!! Stay tuned - EADG or whichever is your stringage number! Nick
24.
I like a man with taste..
that bass comes from a very good home and has gone to a very good home....!
