1.
Big fan of Stentors - good luck with the sale.
+ 1 I've got a stentor student bass which is my go to acoustic for gigs.
2. I'm thinking about the cmd121p again and using an outboard pre for the upright plugged into effects return
3. Thanks Kiwi Looks nice gear but not 2 channels with independent eq
4.
AER basscube II is fantastic, very expensive for sure, but all you need is there.
Too heavy, but thanks for the suggestion, it's led me to look into their 2 channel head which could be exactly what I'm after
5.
I use a PJB Suitcase which has two separate channels and I hear is great for EUB. Each channel has the usual 5 band EQ (50 hz to 12 KHz), separate input gains plus a comp/limiter. Used with the 4B extension cab, it's 300W of uncoloured tone. If you're ever up in tyneside feel free to try the rig out for size.
Thanks for the offer Steve

7.
Is the EA too clean? A valve pedal to dirty it up may be worth trying.
Probably was too clean, but I don't rally want to use any pedals or external pre amps.
Hi Keith do you still have he Phil Jones Super Flightcase? Wouldn't that do the job?
The SFC is good with EUB & acoustic but it's only one channel, that's why I'm thing about the D600 I quite fancy the Blue Soul but I don't think it has 2 independent channels, I'll have another look at it. I'd considered a CMD121P but again only one channel. Has anyone used a PJB Bass buddy as an extra successfully? Thanks for the input all
8. I'm looking for a twin channel amp suitable for urb / eub and bass guitar I've got an acoustic image Ten2 which is amazing with acoustic upright but I need more eq for EUB and I'm not too keen on the sound of bass guitar through it at volume, although fretless sounds nice. I foolishly traded my LMK which was ok I've tried the EA micro & doubler and couldn't get a happy sound out of either. Has anyone got / tried the Phil Jones D600? It's larger than some of the other options but the 5 band eq is appealing. Or is there anything else?
9. Roger & I have just swapped this for that It took me ages to get this to him and he was really patient He sent me that next day! Nice chap

11. Thanks for the feedback guys. How's ya dad Tom? Not spoken to him for a while. And how are things with you?
12. I've a set of Honeys which although they're a few years old they have never been fitted. There is some slight damage to windings from being carried round in gig bag as a spare set, which may or may not pull out under tension. How about £25 posted to UK
13. We're back at City Vaults tonight with 2 great guests free entry, good beer, great atmosphere 8.30 pm
14. You wouldn't have needed to move to Leeds Chris, the gigs are all over the country and north of the border!

17. Huh, I thought you'd got a new bass! Congrats anyway :-)
18. Thought I'd replied to this yesterday http://www.amazon.co.uk/Antoni-Debut-Double-Bass-Outfit/dp/B003JFK346/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1387817292&sr=8-15&keywords=1%2F4+double+bass I got a 1/2 size one of these earlier in the year, quite impressed with the sound butt the neck was too skinny for me. You could order one to try, comes in a large cardboard box. Return it if you're not happy within 30 days.
19. Bargain price for a superb DB combo, bearing in mind the amp head (which is removable) will run you more than that alone. Price list here (the 2-channel combo is now about £1500!): http://www.acoustici...ETAIL_PRICE.pdf +1
