1. Shirts are looking well smart.....might even be tempted to part with some cash!!
2. Have to agree, several songs we do, I have the bassline following the flow of the vocals, makes for a nice groove and I think it does add to the song in general.
3. Played a wedding at a rather sw***y hotel up in Dundee on saturday. Only our 3rd gig with the new singer and the first function with her....and to be honest, you would think she did it on a weekly basis. We went down really well, dance floor full. We learnt a few numbers especially for the happy couple that went down really well. Superb bank of sockets and a dream load in, about the best we have ever had. No cock ups to speak of and the mix of music seemed to do the trick for everyone. A few more business cards handed out at the end of the night and the hotel are going to punt our name out too, so all good.
4. Welcome to another Scottish east coaster!
5.
Im in Pitteuchar bud. in fact I'm playing the Dixon Arms on Sat night. As I said I grew up here so the roundabouts don't bother me. there always seems to be someone in the petrol stations asking for directions though!
HA!....I'm in Pitteuchar as well!!....small world! We emailed The Dixon Arms about a gig a wee while back...must ask the guitarist whatever happened about it!
6.
Isn't Glenrothes the home of the Roundabout? If any of you lot are gigging over Perth way, let me know & I'll try & get along. Oh, & welcome to BC.
THE ROUNDABOUT?....which one?....I think there is 53,496 roundabouts here....rough guestimate!
7.
And me! Born and bred in Glenrothes and still stuck here.
Ok...where abouts in the wonderful bustling metropolis of roundabouts in Glenrothes are you? Luckily I'm an incomer, only been here 13 years!
8.
Thanks for the warm welcome and the kind words about Yeah Detroit guys! Im from Kettlebridge - home of the Singing Kettle which some of you may of heard of! I lived in Glenrothes when I was growing up though, moved to Dundee when I went to University and then when it was time to move back home my mum had moved to Kettle - its great here so quiet and peaceful. FOXDIE is a great band name by the way. Got the final mix back for one of the singles btw - it will hopefully be up for stream on a few websites soon - SPOILER ALERT my bass tone sounds amazing, cant wait to show you guys! Cheers Sean
So you are literally 10 minutes away from me then....hopefully we'll bump into each other at some point!

11. First gig in a few weeks last night. Had a few feedback issues with the singer early doors, but soon rectified. 2 songs into second set, guitarist missed a song on the list, luckily he starts himself so we all managed to follow, we chuckled about it, then 2 songs later, drummer fell into the same trap, luckily again, he starts off himself, so we got away with it again!! Me?......I just hit a few bum notes here and there and tried to forget about the huge blister I had on my middle finger!! All in all, decent gig.
12. I think the picture looks less fuzzy with my glasses OFF!
13. Oh well.......not going to get many bidders if the things aint even tuned
14. I thought I would take the plunge and grab this offer while I could. So, on monday night I looked around a few websites, Guitarguitar, GAK, Bassdirect etc etc...... Emailed Guitarguitar and GAK about availability....tuesday got home from work and an email from GAK explaining to phone them and the order would get sorted. Sooooo, wednesday 10 am I duly phoned GAK.....today (thursday) at 12pm the whole thing arrived at my door.....excellent service I hasten to add....Im still awaiting a reply from Guitarguitar about my original email!! Only tried it in the house so far but it seems a really nice warm rich sound...cant wait till I get it in the studio on saturday.
15. Ive always had combos, most recently the Ashdown C410t-500. Done me good I have to say, but I have this very day just gone and got head and cab, more to lump around, but weight value in order to shift is far easier. My ashdown weighs 8 stone, its a fair chunk of kit, I fitted castors on it, which help enormously, but still got to get it in and out of van! Ultimately, if you can get the 500 rather than the 300 it will suit for when you get to bigger venues etc, also the 410 is better than the 115 in my opinion Start with the 115 if its a cash concern and when you got more coin to splash just upgrade, its exactly what I and probably most others have done here.
16. Used to play drums in my youth....no room for drums in house.....TA-DAH.....bass!!
17.
Likewise, infact just this week at a gig I was telling my guitarist about how I'd been a bad teacher for not bringing myself to stop two year 1 boys from running down the corridor cause they were playing 'tie fighters' when the resident venue wierdo (there's always one!) piped up with: "Bet you don't even know what it stands for!" Douche. It's Twin Ion Engine, everyone knows that! That's a basic level question!... muppet! Heh heh Im such a geek!
LOL everyone knows that eh.......oh our level of geekiness is in epic proportions Luckily me kids love the old films too, so Im not the only geek in my house....though I do get plenty from the wife
18. HA!! .....love it Yes...I'm a Star Wars geek!....and I don't care!
19. You starting with the same gear I did many moons ago! Welcome and enjoy.
20. Oh bugger........love genesis, marillion even more so....and Im going away this weekend.......poo!
21. Got to agree with whats above....... When faced with multiple wrong tabs, I cannibalise them all to find the best bits from them all and get my own from that.
