    Thanks Alain! The build quality of these basses is simply amazing, a properly handmade instrument put together by a master luthier for less than a second hand factory line jobby. The only reason for moving this on is that I just don't really get on without a low B. Not in a huge hurry, but I'd like to put a deposit on a new ACG. Price is negotiable, within reason. Eude

Sorry for any previous changes of heart...[/b] This is an Ibanez Promethean P5110C Combo it's one of the good, original ones with a removable 500W class D amp head in a 1x10 combo. It's an insanely flexible and loud little box, which is held in high regard and now that Ibanez have clearly gone mental, they're not making them anymore, so they're quite hard to come by. I've used this at home, predominantly for practice, but it has had the occasional outing where it easily kept up with a drummer, can probably be used for a non-metal gig up to about 100 folks without PA and then on stage for monitoring purposes when a PA is necessary, and that's all just in it's standard format, you can always whip the head out, or hook up an extension cab and you've got a 500W rig... I've got the annoying bag for it, and the original tags and instruction manual. As far as a sale price is concerned, I reckon £400 is fair, but I would like to move this quickly now, so I'm open to offers as long as they're not offensive or insane. Absolutely no trades I'm afraid. I'm in South London, well South Croydon/Sanderstead as far as collection is concerned, happy to ship at buyer's cost. Finally, some pics... Cheers, Eude

    [b]SOLD[/b] Hey there, I am selling my ACG Finn 4 string. As much as I try, I'm just not a 4 string player, and as much as I will likely miss this bass, the proceeds from the sale will go towards another custom ACG with at least one more string It has quite a balanced, modern sound I'd say, with a bit more natural presence in the mid range thanks to the Wenge neck and fingerboard. Its very lightweight, probably the lightest bass I've ever own, and balances beautifully on a strap. The bass has never been gigged, or even left the house once and as a result is absolutely immaculate. Here's the specs ACG Finn 4 string (no. 0117) 33" scale. There's great deals to be had on the MiBass 2.0 and a Mi12 cab at the moment, but I'm going to hang fire till I see what appears at NAMM before pulling the trigger. One thing is for sure, I reckon I'll be selling on my Promethean P5110 Combo pretty soon and replacing it with something a little more British in flavour

    Just another +1 for ACG from me. Some of the finest basses I've ever played, and very happy to own, and the build quality surpasses or at the very least matches pretty much everything I've ever laid eyes on, and that includes a lot of what people consider to be very high end builders. There's a lot of designs to choose from, and with the J Type and potentially a P Type on the way, there's something for the more traditionally minded bass player. The ACG Filter preamp takes the Wal principal and then builds on it giving similar(ish) application with far wider results. There's also several versions of the preamp available now too, the original EQ01, the EQ03 with added low and mid boosts, active/passive switching and tone control, and now the SEQ which is a simplified version which feels a lot more like a standard tone/tone setup but offering much much more. The new MC series pickups which are only available in the Uber Spec basses are unlike anything I've ever heard before, incredibly full range, open and hifi sounding. Even response and tone from the lowest open string to the highest notes on the G string, on the original Uber Spec Recurve I tried at the London Bass Show last year. This gives you as much of the tone of your bass and every nuance of your playing, for better or worse, to then do with as you will. I'm going to be ordering another ACG early 2014, if I can stretch to it, I'll be going for an Uber Spec too Just my 2p, other luthiers are available, but given your proximity to Moffat, you'd be mad to at least not pay Alan a visit Eude

    Another vote for an ACG Graft J Type. Choice of 33", 34" or 35" scale. High quality components, Hipshot, Gotoh etcs. Choice of pickups, singlecoil, humbucking and precision style, any combination you want, all custom hand wound by Armstrong Pickups for ACG. 45mm nut, 18mm spacing at the bridge. Completely hand made with incredible attention to detail. 5 string passive for £795 or active, with some John East bits and bobs for £875, insane value for money </2p> Eude

    I'm intrigued by these cabs. I've always been interested in trying to make my own cabs, partly down to not being able to afford the kind of cabs I'd like, my only concern would be getting a professional enough finish to keep me happy. Having said that, I might have a go at one of these next year...
