I have no idea how the power management on the tc head is interpreting a 16ohm cab.... probably not a goix match
Might actually be because you are a sh*t hot local band with a great reputation and loads of gigs on the books, ya pudden nut
turn up as in arrive or turn up as in turn the volume up? -
oh, I thought you were joking. Fair enough
to be fair I would love a big baby or big twin but the first thing I would do is take that logo off... but then I am a graphic designer snob....
Looks like a port to me.. if it sounds good on the bottom like that it makes sense to put it there as it means the front panel can be smaller... which is always good. My PC cabs sound good and are light but they are pretty massive because of all the porting on the front. Anyway, hope it sounds good, post a review when you get a chance.
wouldnt it be the same size and the ports the same size however they are configured?

I was almost GAS free, then I paid my scrip for basschat and soon enough things were changing.... I ended up with a Warwick SS1 which is just "me" in bass format. Love it. A very old Warwick Thumb my wife gave me is awesome and is going no where, and a BB1200 which is amazing, ebay bargain - put bluntly if I sold that with the money I couldn't get anything near the quality... so going nowhere.... so GAS free! with basses.... still trying to work out what I want as a rig... never played through a all valve setup and keep finding myself attracted to things that are too heavy with Glass bottles, or wanna build my own cabs, and preamp and... oh but cannae do anything at the moment as I spent most my bass money on a thunderfunk....
After around 6 years, I can finally play for about 45 mins a day on good days. I know that I could get a cheaper bass, well, I have one but to have a top end one will be cool.
you're paying enough that you can be picky.... why not see if you can find the bass that is best for your RA so you are able to play it longer? (I'll admit I don't know what it is, but I guess it's some kind of joints or muscle thing that bass playing can aggravate? may be utterly wrong there)
I don't think I've ever seen someone dress in attire that deliberately colour matches their amp.....works well, i may try that, i'm sure i have an old tweed coat somewhere! (Lovely acoustic rig btw!!)
careful! knowing you you will want to match your coat's vintage to your basses.... -
just one Streamliner and one Schroeder cab seem to be more than adequate in any situation!
youve changed!
Ah, I see what you mean. Yes, they do interact to some degree, but I wouldn't call it "difficult". I find it very simple, and if I find it simple, trust me, it must be simple I don't look for a "neutral" sound in an amp, I look for a good sound, a sound that works well in the band and makes me smile. It's extremely simple to achieve that on the Streamliner. I'm still curious about the Veyron.
mcnach simple?
The Amp Two is a different character. Three and One are like siblings, their character is similar with the One being more portable and classic sounding, the three having more oomph and lows and a bit more treble response. Still it has the warm treble. Both have no horns or other treble speakers. The Two has a 12" and a 4", sounding more fullrange and Hi-fi. Many say it is a good match to an upright bass, but sounds superb with an e-bass nevertheless. The compressor is placed before the EQ. It has another voicing, but I can't really understand why Ed Friedland reviewed it so short in his video and only with a bass that does not show the extended upper register this combo has. And it does have more watts, also the screws around the speaker look awesome I liked it very much, but thought it was too big and heavy for my micro rig needs. direct comparison between Two and Three: - Two is substantially larger and heavier. Not really large or heavy, mind you. But still quite a difference. - Three has more punch in the bass frequencies, the two has a much more detailed and hi-fi sound - the two is a bit louder, but a more middy loudness. All AER Amps are very room filling and huge sounding, but the Three takes the crown for me in terms of sheer bassy goodness. - the Two is, to my surprise, less noisy. It's "horn" (it's not really a horn but a very small speaker) is very silent.
thanks for that Amp 2 now on my GAS list!

So if they have the same amp module now what is the difference between a little mark and a big bang?
Got the Amp Three today. First impressions... - huge sound. It sounds like a full muscle amp and feels like a 212 in terms of air movement. Astonishing. Unbeievable really because it is so small. And it is that deep, full sound that so many micro amps lack. The kind of oomph you expect from much much larger and higher power rigs. This combo does NOT get its loudness via low mids and cut off bass range. So deep... crazy. And very focused and not a tad muddy down low. - the compressor is top notch. Not much else to say here, but it just works great. - it has a bit of hiss when turned loud or boosting the treble up. No other noises though, no hearable fan or anything like that. - superb sound, love the options. And just like medpb stated, quasi impossible to dial in unsusable sounds. So far I'm totally stoked.
How do you find it compares to the amp two? I'm currently trying to sell my current rig, and while I have plans to replace it with something else bigger.... I am tempted to try and find an AER amp 2 somewhere to try/buy.
