1.
Well done! Though I'm very surprised it took two months to shift, considering!
Seven weeks of that it was on hold, only for the sale to fall through!
2. Gary just bought my '69er cab. The prior sale had fallen through with great disappointment, but this one was plain sailing. Lovely chap, no messing about, great communication and came to pick up with cash in hand. I'd happily deal with him again :-)
3. OK, This has gone now, with cash in my wallet and a very happy new owner. Sorry to the others who were hoping to get this cab - good luck with your ongoing search.

5. Gorgeous!
6. I'd guess that a non-stacked rig will have more bass coupling with the floor.
7. Donald Sutherland, another Canadian of note: http://youtu.be/GEStsLJZhzo
8. I hope he stacks vertically for better dispersion ;-)
9. No worries mate, you're in the queue
10.
Bugger bugger and thrice bugger, too late again
Don't you have a new Genz cab to play with Karl? Edit: bugger, just seen that it was withdrawn at the last minute - what a tease!
11. OK, I have someone coming on Sunday to pick this up, and also someone else waiting to buy it should that fall through. It's pretty safe to say that this is sold, but, due to my recent disappointment, I won't officially mark it as such until I have the money in my hands.
12. Pic seems to have vanished from the OP Luke
13. More Canadian gold... Leslie Nielsen http://youtu.be/pNdtLURhj3Q
14. If I only played at home and wanted nice valve grind, I'd go for a low wattage valve amp like the Ashdown LB30. I don't see delicacy being an issue at all
15. Test: Excellent! Thanks folks
16.
I clicked the link, that took me to dropbox, then saved to Photobucket. In Photobucket, copied the URL link and pasted into my post. Might be easier ways, but works for me.
Ok thanks. I've previously always used Dropbox, but maybe time to venture into Photobucket
17.
Good one.
Haha, yeah, my dad's alpacas. So did you copy that into photo bucket? Do Dropbox links not work like they would if I pasted the link into the 'post image' function (which is not available on my phone/ipad)?
18. Testing post four method on phone... Fail! :-( Tried to put this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/16bb6cbt9zbrh4o/100_2199.JPG between the
19. There is no rule that says that there has to be a bass solo! Tell the band that you'd be happier to sit out the solos. Unless you bulshitted your way into the gig?
20. Thanks Martin, Yes, I was holding this for a buyer to pick up on Saturday, but alas I've just been informed that the money has had to go towards a vet's bill instead :-( Back on the market, all info in the OP still applies
21. .....or less than ideal option no.3 - rout chambers in the top and cover with a large pickguard ;-)
22. From my experience, cutting something that wide could only be done on a (very large) bandsaw. The annoying thing about bandsaws is that the bendy blade tends to wander from your intended straight line, and the cut itself tends to be quite corrugated. By the time you have cut the top off and then made both faces perfectly flat, you'll have lost an unacceptable amount of depth. If you really wanted to keep the top, you'd probably need to add an inbetween layer to make up for this loss. One of the above methods makes a lot of sense - put the body through a thicknesser and take off the appropriate amount (maybe 8mm?) which will leave a perfectly flat face. Then chamber and stick on a new top.
23. That's not much money for an amazing high end bass!
24.
Thanks Roland. I've put a deposit down on one. cheers
Crumbs! I feel a bit of pressure now! ;-) Last night the band jammed out a new dub song in low C# with the bass using a low pass filter with some boost at the (very low) cutoff point. I'm VERY happy with how deep, smooth and clear this cab is.
25. Matthew bought a rack bag from me. It was a quick, painless transaction. An easy person to deal with.
