1. Bump! More info added... This needs to go as I currently have the equivalent of a 10x10 stack sitting in the front room of my bungalow, and the missus is starting to give me grief
2. Bought a Harley Benton BA500H from Ant. arrived extremely well packed, thanks!
3. Surprised that these are so cheap now, I'm sure they were like £300 at one point!
4.
those neo's sound interesting too
You're damn right!!
5. Bassists tend to have a cleaner sound that guitarists so strings do make more of a difference, definitely!
6.
I wouldn't mind doing a comparison with yours Chris
Just realised you're practically on my doorstep. Why not?? It's currently up for sale but it's still around for now. Drop me a PM if you want to give it a bash
7. I've had good experiences with them too. First time I ordered online from them they phoned me almost immediately to tell me one of the pedals was out of stock. Told me how Long the wait was likely to be, and offered alternative choices, or to cancel part of my order. I decided to wait and it ended up being quicker than anticipated
8. If its the cab.... After a lot of experimenting I'm back with a markbass cab, maybe that's what's missing??
9.
Buying a Peavey Bass would go against the grain...
Bugger...
10. Markbass 250 watt should be fine and they're only around 225 New at the moment!
11. That's surprising, but I guess we have been blessed with other string manufacturers going above and beyond. It wouldn't make me rush out to buy any Warwick strings again so though...
12.
I'd love this. I wish I had the dosh
It's a great match for the BAM combo! I've got a replacement cab on the way now so I'd be open to offers
13. Interesting... It's not as massive in the low end as my old markbass amp but it's definitely the second beefiest amp I've ever owned! Maybe it depends on which cab model you use? I only ever use the BAM one (no cab modelling) because I don't really 'do' deep bass
14. Sansamps are a pretty cool addition to any rig. Decent tone shaping and some really cool sounds when you turn the gain up. I like using it in combination with random drive pedals for really unique (mostly aggressive) tones
15. I wouldn't worry about it too much mate. Feeling like you've let someone down is embarrassing, and even though it's better to just let somebody know not everyone thinks that way. Trust me, I work in sales and people really hate to say no!!
16. I know another bloke called Jack who's got one of these. Incredible basses!!
17. Doesn't look like a coffee table to me. I like it! ESP/LTD are very well made instruments, and yes, they're very good for metal
18. I remember seeing this on the ESP website about 12 years ago when I used to play guitar. Bit much but I'm sure it's a well made guitar!
19. Bumping since I've remembered how to actually post a picture properly
20. Big plus one for entwistle neodymiums. I've got a PJ set and they are mega high output, with so much midrange on tap. The jazz pickups aren't noisy either which is obviously some kind of voodoo
21. Oh! You can change feedback by the way. Can't remember how though!
22. She sent the item back last week, awaiting refund at the moment! We're not worried about getting the money back because of buyer protection... But we're worried about the sellers sanity!
23. Also to avoid: missmoneypenny.007 Sold my missus a ladies vintage leather biker jacket that was made from plastic and really badly altered so it looked like a bin liner sewn together by a blind man with no fingers... For £140... And then when she complained her defence was that its definitely an official Kate Moss designed one. I have no words!
24. Price Drop: £300 Most of us have heard of these rare beasts! Capable of so many awesome sounds and it even comes with the footswitch! Bought from bagsieblue 2 months ago. Its served me extremely well up against 2 guitarists with 100w valve amps and a beast of a drummer. I just prefer amps with class D power supplies. Good working condition, carpet is coming away at the back near the bottom but it's not noticeable on a stage. comes with an ancient roqsolid cover too! 350watts on its own and 500watts with a 4 ohm extension cab. 2x10 speakers and its a modelling amp with various amp and speaker settings (and actually sounds authentic), 16 presets and 16 user programmable patches, tuner, digital multi effects built in, compressor and a tilt back handle for better portability. Here are the various amp and speaker presets, all very good!! You can also assign different speakers to the amp settings. RED 2 X 10 Modern 2 X 10 combo amp with active semi-parametric EQ. (SWR SUPER REDHEAD) Front ported cab with horn. 360 1 X 18 Old solid state head with passive EQ. (ACOUSTIC 360) Single 18 inch folded horn cab. TVS 8 X 10 Vintage all tube head with passive EQ. (AMPEG SVT) Sealed 8 X 10 cab with no horn. FLIPTOP 1 X 15 Vintage all tube portable bass combo with passive EQ. (AMPEG B15 FLIPTOP) 1 X 15 cab. B-MAN 2 X 12 Classic all tube bass head with 3-band passive EQ. (FENDER BASSMAN) Closed back 2 X 12 cab. PEAVEY MAX BAM 2 X 10 Hybrid bass preamp with active 3-band semi-parametric EQ. (MODERN PEAVEY) BAM cab with no modeling. WEST COAST 4 X 10 Modern hybrid bass head with active semi-parametric EQ. (EDEN 800) Modern front ported 4 X 10 with horn. FREDDIE K ALLOY 4 X 10 Modern solid state head with active 4-band EQ. (GALLIEN KRUEGER) Metal cone speakers in a ported 4 x 10 with no tweeter Cheers!
