We're back...

Nice one! Here's hoping all our avatars haven't been changed to pictures of dicks
3. The first bass I ever owned is my trusty Peavey International Series 4 string. I used it on a gig 4 days ago! I love it so much I bought a 5 string version this year!
i dont get why people steal basses
I stole the bass from an ex girlfriend... Oops
4. Right now I'm sitting in the front room after a long night shift. My markbass rig is set up 6 feet directly in front of me, and all my basses are in the cupboard another 6 feet to the left... My son and misses are upstairs asleep... I know your pain!
5. It's very Larry Graham... I like it
6. Was there a sound engineer? They make great scapegoats
7. At the moment: John Myung Billy Sheehan Tony Levin Victor Wooten Tony Dickinson (Awesome guy from youtube who does lots of covers and such, style's very similar to mine but a LOT tighter) I tend to latch onto players I feel I have something in common with, but also something I aspire to have MORE in common with!
8.
Has anybody got any experience of stacking Barefaced Super Twelves?....
Never tried it, or wanted to, one is more than enough for any situation amazingly enough! Though owning one i know you're fully aware! I can't imagine it being very secure compared to other cabs, as terrifyingly awesome as it would be!
9. Just realised there isn't a single pedal on my board without a Gain knob on it
10. I really like Elites Stadium Series strings. They're around 2/3 of the price of the most common brands, and have a very bright sound, with them being stainless steel. They also are very smooth feeling compared to some other brands like Rotosound or Warwicks, which people say cut their hands to ribbons!
11. On a more serious note, I would think something was getting his mood down. Whether it's a loss of interest or motivation in the band, or something completely unrelated in his personal life. Patching things up with him, and speaking with him as a friend before a bandmate will surely help him open up. You might be able to not only solve your timing woes but also help him out personally and consolidate the relationship you already have. Hope all works out best for you, him, and the rest of the band!
12. +1 I've covered most bases now but I can't stop wanting practically every drive pedal I see!
13.
Disadvantages - only if you have clumsy bandmates/or fairly raucous gigs.
Yep, some vertical 2x10 stacks look a bit unstable... The SVT one above looks like the leaning tower of Pisa! If I was going to go down this route, I'd get two of those huge front ported Markbass cabs
14. Most of us have to put up with drummers speeding up!
15.
how has noone got that small stone yet?
Dunno mate, but it's so good I might end up keeping it at this rate!
16. I used to use a single 2x10 combo always stacked vertically, was definitely the way of getting the most out of it! I tried it with two Ashdown 2x10s, but I didnt hae as much low end as with a single 4x10... I think thats more down to the individual cabs than the vertical stacking though!
17.
bass cake! cake bass!
Sorry mate, way too on topic:lol:
18.
I use LOTS of effects - This has been discussed so many times that I'm sure it will end up being the same discussion again. It really depends on what you look for in a sound - one man loves a certain fuzz sound and another man may hate it. The sounds you think are nasty may be sounds we love. But also it depends on the music you play. Many bassists don't need them and the music has little space for them. I don't use a clean bass sound anywhere in my set... horses for courses.
All of this. Also, some gear, just isn't compatible with certain basses, amps, effects, or even playing styles! I've used some effects that I really love the sound of, but as soon as I got my hands on them it sounded like pure arse!
19. Aaaand boom goes the dynamite.
20. Haha wicked! Took me about 8 years before I realised this stuff, it's funny because it's true!
21.
I also preferred the phasers to my Small Stone
Which phasers are your favourites? I haven't found one i like as much as my trusty Small Stone yet,but I'm loving the choruses!
22.
About half a bottle of vodka before I could even look at it.
23. Luckily i only get it quietly at random times, it's been loud enough to disturb the TV when its on very quietly but thats it... for now
24. What would you drink with this one then?
25.
More importantly, with the amount of different cakes coming to this debate, we will need an 8x10 on its side to act as a cake table to fit em on! so they still have some use Lol.
Now thats a tune we can all ruin by distastefully slapping all over!
