1.
[s]Usually[/s] I do like fancy woods, basses without scratchplates, and unlined fretless, and thats a lovely bass!
I was thinking *almost* the same thing
 2.
"The spinal cord of JFK Wrapped in Marilyn Monroe's negligee"
"These foolish things remind me of you"?
 3.
That's a great shame of course, but I want to know more about the Ladies BassCamp... I'm hoping it's a typo.
This one time, as Bass Camp...
 4.
Leonard Smalls to checkout number 4 please!
BUMP
 5. The figure in that track isn't actually a triplet, though, it's a "galloping" quaver-semiquaver-semiquaver (or eighth-sixteenth-sixteenth) figure. I expect down-up-up would be pretty murderous there... try down-down-up? That way you're up/downs are in a steady semiquaver pulse: strike down - no strike up - strike down - strike up Edit: I just tried it and found that an alternating down/up felt best for me, where the accents alternate down/up: down-up-down / up-down-up / etc.
 6. Wow, an excellent month in terms of both quality and quantity! After a rather ruthless first pass, I've pruned it down to... four. Sorry guys, one of you has to go...
 7. Trade for a CV 60s P?
 8.
I refer you to post #17. G.
Thanks, you're a gent!
ras52 are you local to Orpington? You are welcome to try my BEAD P out if we can get the stars to align.
And so are you! I am local, I'm in Bromley, although star-alignment may be deferred as my wheels have just had a bad day and need to see the doctor :-( I'll PM you later, thanks!
 9. Apologies if this has already been posted: The Ghost in the MP3 I really liked it! (Not taking bets on how long before this gets to oh-yes-you-can/oh-no-you-can't (tell the difference) )
 10. Aha! Please allow me to piggy-back on this thread, as I'm in a very similar situation. Still not sure how I feel about 5s, but I'm going to record some songs which are going to be transposed down and I want to preserve my lovely original basslines :-) I have a spare P which I was thinking of trading for a 5 (The Squier VM P5 thread isn't helping!) but it occurred to me that setting up as BEAD might be the better solution for me. My main concern is the "nut work"... I'm OK with a screwdriver or an Allen key, but balk at anything destructive. And would I need a new nut if wanted to go back to EADG? Ta.
 11. If that was five, etc... Edit: please excuse the emojis, my daughter insisted on adding them!
 12.
Same way I do with all those millions that believe in God. It's their life, let 'em get on with it.
Ah, glad to hear this isn't you then:
 13. I'm torn. I'd like to try a range of fivers, but can pop into the West End on a weekday lunchtime for free, without the massed slapping to distract me. Hm...
 14. No worries indeed, I'm sure there's nothing to fret about.
 15.
It's ugly but who cares.
You won't be saying that after someone mistakes it for a toilet seat.
 16. Pah, music is for listening to, not fumbling to! And I once saw some tribute orchestra play Tchaik 6.... they all had music stands! (And they got upset when I went up to them while they were playing to ask them to do Sweet Child of Mine.) However, there was a lady of my acquaintance who always liked to put on the same album/mixtape/whatever in our, er, private moments, and now I can't think of her without hearing Tim Buckley. Hm...
 17. I went to Rome to see a gig that didn't happen When Van der Graaf Generator set off on tour in 2005, it was by no means clear whether their re-grouping was to be ongoing, so this was potentially a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see them. I did Leicester, Shepherd's Bush, Amsterdam, Milan and Rome - except that the Rome gig was rescheduled to one night later, and I couldn't change my plans. Ah well, The Vatican, ice-cream by the Trevi Fountain and a quiet meal at the hotel in the evening. *Almost* as good
 18.
So after 2 pages we've all learned that some people, to varying degrees, like the Kaiser Chiefs and some don't. And the same for Oasis. I can sleep soundly tonight in that knowledge.
How can you sleep knowing that at least some of those people - if not all of them - are WRONG?!?
 19.
I am getting through them, slowly. I'm only up to 'M', though.
But that way you'll watch Nonapussy before Octopussy and Septapussy after it!
 20.
North West?? I,m going down the pub!!
That's right. I do so hope that when he/she grows up, they launch an eponymous range of Hitchcock-inspired perfume: North, by North West.
 21.
I don't think there is , but we could ask that a voter cast 3 or 4 votes ( depending on quantity of entrants I suppose) to see if that slimlines the chances of having an 8 way tie
I like this: last time I whittled it down to three and then felt that my final choice from those three was somewhat arbitrary.
 22. It's around about this time that someone weighs in with a cryptic clue. Maybe come back just before eight-o'clock.
 23.
we were recently asked for a special request at a wedding rita coolidge - all time high got to be a serious contender for worst song ever recorded
I just went to YouTube to find out about that one. Now considering blocking you.
 24.
She didn't mention slapping then?
I'm all thumbs...
