Sell them all. Get a BF Four10 instead.

I've been using them for a couple of weeks and I'm impressed. They feel great after being played in a bit and the stickiness has gone. The low B is nice and clear. All I need now is for them to last a few years and they'll be perfect!

I learn every note by memory even if it is a reading gig. If I can't play it all from memory, solo, then I'm not ready. I'll still perform it of course but I won't be happy that I'm under prepared.

I play in a local educational orchestra (and smaller ensembles) and the drummer / percussionist and me have a lot of pub gig experience. We piss about with the tunes as we feel like it (or up to the point we get told off!) The vast majority of the classical guys get upset when we are doing that, let alone when they are told they can improv! They seem to freeze, or play what is written with the odd added octave or rest! One of my mates is a cellist. Could sight read Grade 8 exam pieces in a dark room wearing sunglasses. She can't improvise worth a damn.Funnily enough the players of the "jazz" instruments (trumpet, clarinets etc) seem to be far better. I suppose there is more of a cross-over for those instruments. But the bassoons and cellos etc - not a chance.

To do justice to some tunes they are needed. You're not going to get a choir in or a string section for 2 songs in the list.

This has more heft than anyone needs http://www.extron.com/product/product.aspx?id=xpa4002&s=5 It's a permanent installation power amp but I know some who are using it in their rigs. - guitar and bass. They are about £1200 and sold to certified installers. There are ways though, of course!

My Helix sends an IR signal to the PA and a non IR signal to a power amp and cab. Complete control.

The bands I've played in have either had the Boss pedal tuner or the TC. I like the TC one. It's bright and works well on a low B. I wouldn't want it in the amp. In a dedicated preamp like my Helix is ok, but not in a regular head.

I really like my Darkglass. I have previously loved the Empress, and one day I will have another. At the cheap end I also really like the Marshall ED-1. Great value for money.

Funnily enough, I really like the foam cheap ones for when I'm singing. I find the extreme EQ change to be very useful. Rubbish for use listening to a loud gig of course.

Piano I think. But I really love the cello too even though I have never played one.

Standard gig punter response. "Can I have a go on your bass?" "Only if I can have a go on your woman." Seems to do the trick.

I'm not answering. Mainly because by 10am I will have changed my mind.

Fender haven't tried it on with Sadowsky or Lull, presumably because the price points are so different. So if it is true, it must be because Sandberg were perceived to be taking market share.
