1. B-E-A-D-G but i'm gonna get a 6 string so i have everything i want. Liam
2. Bugera's guitar stuff is actually quite good, and pretty reliable. Their bass gear on the other hand, i doubt it will be, but nobody ever buys one to test it because they all know Bugera = Behringer and Behringer = Pretty sh*te, but i would not have any problems buying a Bugera 6262 Head and matching 412 for guitar if i needed it. Liam
3. I'll add 2 more for Manchester Manchester Academy - The guys there gave us no problems, sounded decent and its not too bad of a venue. Soundhouse (Bolton) - Also a nice venue, or atleast it was when i last played there. Been told it's gone abit downhill with cleanliness but i have no proof. Crackin' house PA and brilliant sound there aswell. Liam
4. Bump for a crackin' amp. I use the 150w version pretty often and its well worth the money. Liam
5.
Ima no-life bass player for almost 2 years. I love this instrument more than anything else
I see a nice prestine Ibanez GSR200 there. I remember when mine looked like that. The 1st is from a gig in february 2010 at The Windmill in Westhoughton. My bands 2nd proper gig. Man i looked young back then. The 2nd is at Gigs Bar in Bolton, August 2010, at a heat for our local Battle Of The Bands. The 3rd was taken at a photoshoot in our practice space late 2010, and yes, our practice space contains a tractor, its a bit odd i know. Liam
6. The line 6 Lowdown LD150 is one to look at. Its a 150w 1x12 and it has no problems keeping up with my punk band without PA support. I don't know if they are over your budget or not (My guitarist got it for £280 new a fey years ago) but its definately one to look at. The effects are pretty useable too, if you desire them, except the synth. Liam
7. Welcome. The GSR200 is a brilliant starter bass, still have mine now. Liam
8. Ashdown also have a new line of Heads with Dual Tube Preamps and its sister company Hayden is releasing higher wattage versions of their MoFo valve head for guitars. Liam
9. Now that looks like something i want. I love the tubescreamer on bass and now there's a bass version. If it isnt too much i'm gonna get one of these. Liam
10. I'm having no problems myself, i have no idea what could be causing yours. Liam
11. Use Rotos on my 4 string Ibanez, always have, love em for 4 stringers. Their 5's don't have the right gauges for me though. Liam
12. Welcome to Basschat Tim. Liam
13. I really hope they're gonna do a ray 35 version. I prefer the slab body over the typical Stingray 5 one. Liam
14. I play bass in A Little Bit Outlaw. We are a young (15-17) 4 Peice Contemporary Punk band with influences such as Good Charlotte, Bowling For Soup, Sum 41, The Beatles, R Kelly and artists from all genres. Since forming in Bolton, Lancashire in 2008 under the name "Nemesis" we have had 2 name changes, and a lineup change resulting in a radical change of direction and much more success. We began gigging in late 2009 and since then we have reached the final of a local Battle Of The Bands, along with playing venues such as Manchester Academy and The Soundhouse in Bolton. In October 2010 we recorded our first EP at The Fuzzbox, Wigan which can be heard on our myspace and youtube. Join us on facebook for regular updates about gigs and head down to one of our shows to experience our new flavour of punk. 15. That looks good. Anyone got any info on it? Liam
16. To me feel is putting emotion into what your playing. As mentioned above, people like Slash really feel the music, put their heart and soul into it, etc... Liam
17.
Were you expecting something else?
Yes, i was actually expecting a japanese rick copy modded with a P bass pickup. Liam

21. This Website allows you to change youtube vids into MP3's with a few clicks, i've used it alot. Liam
22. I'd say Line 6 could be a good optiion to go for, or the Orange Combos arent too bad either. Liam
23. Hello and welcome to BassChat. Sounds like you have some nice gear aswell. Anything your selling do it on here, i'm sure someone'l take it off your hands. Liam
24. My guess is you would have to have the monitors pretty loud to overcome your guitarist, so could potentially damage your ears. Liam
25. My band use a Behringer Europower PMX2000 (250w per side) into 2 1x12's and 2 1x15's for 2 vocal mics only. Altogether cost us about £600 over the past few years. Can easily get a competent PA for just vocals for under £500, but make sure your not only running 2 1x15's cause that didnt work so well for us, lots of feedback. Liam
