  1. Just been following the MM Stingray feed on another forum that shall not be named and makes for very interesting reading. What does come out of it is that the MM basses are extremely well made and well worth the money of a new one. Yours at that price is an absolute steal and i would be very tempted if it wasn't for the fact i already have 10 basses and missus would not be chuffed at another. GLWTS Dave
  2. To keep a level head
  3. PeteB;s Lugville from the US which is circa £80 plus P&P is exactly what i was thinking but this could be a close 2nd and at only £30. Leads would still end up in the black hole compartment tho.....
  4. OUCH that sounds like the audition from hell
  5. Only talking about carrying the smaller items, the necesities to get you thru a gig. Leads, batteries, effects, tuner, tools, anything else required in case of breakdown or emergency when gear goes wrong. Not so much the bass or amp side of gigging. Dave
  6. Now i'm gonna laugh. Always thought motorbikes were dangerous. Should i reinforce that you should always cover your head while riding a bike. Dave
  7. Not sure whether to laugh at that or whether its genuine or not. Dave
  8. I was hoping to find something that seperates but lifts. A wonderbra perhaps Seriously thos something that doesn't end up being the pit of doom where all things can get lost in a black hole. The Lugville shown earlier would be ideal but its a bit expensive and don't see any for sale in UK. I like the idea of my leads being secured individually and compartments for other bits and bobs incl smaller pedals like my TC Polytune. The toolbag sounds promising. Will need to look into them a bit more.
  9. On one hand with a 70's covers band was 3weeks from scratch learning 34 songs with key changes made a week into it and doing 2 gigs in one weekend. Current band took 4 mths to get to first rehearsal just last week altho it was a good rehearsal. Lot of variable but i have a max limit 1 year and if not gigging by then its time to move on. I would expect to be gigging within 6mths with most bands tho Dave
  10. That's the very thing i was thinking off. Will see if they are available in UK. Dave
  11. Couldn't find the English version but did find a Wiki explanation and i am now starting to worry. I shall curtail my humourous comments and statements from now. Apologies Dave
  12. I'm afraid my younger years as an Insttrument tech for a large gases company was spent repairing moving coil meters so thought i would have a little fun to see if you would bite. I shall prepare myself for the fallout from that silly mistake I'm sure you will get me back hook line and sinker again. Dave
  13. Yep that's what i'm finding with the one i have
  14. I know all about Faraday. I'm an electrical / electronic engineer but fun is fun
  15. And got you there. Revenge is ever so sweet Dad3353. Dave
  16. The rucksack idea is what i'm using too. Maybe i need one with more compartments rather than just firing everything into the main compartment. It has one smaller apartment at front but doesn't hold much.
  17. I was sure i'd seen a dedicated shoulder bag with different compartments for bits and bobs but was a few years ago. Dave
  18. The pick ups are just a resistance so the current flow must be fed from the amp.
  19. although the voltage to feed the pick ups does come from the amp and therefore you could say it was an input
  20. Good point and i stand corrected of course OUTPUT :- 产量
  21. is that a rack mounted solid case ?
  22. Had a search and couldn't see anything so thought i would ask the question. I'm curious what people use to carry their gear to gigs. Not their bass but more their leads, spare batteries, strings, tools and all that kind of stuff. I usually take a rucksack but was wondering if there is a dedicated bag for it. Dave
  23. Yep that's Jack but he could go for INPUT 输入
  24. 插口 音 卷 Just in case you need them that is Chinese for Jack, Tone and Volume in that order. Dave
  25. Think the Suzi Quattro mime was even worse. The drummer was dancing in middle of stage with Suzi and the guitarist while the drums were being played by Mr Invicible.
