  1. Don't fancy a 2 bass gig bag. Must be kinda heavy to carry around 2 basses. Thanks for letting me know tho. Much appreciate the kind thought. I went for the laptop bag that i'll use for smaller gigs. If using bigger rig i might go back to a rucksack but at the moment the laptop bag does a pretty good job. Thanks again guys Dave
  2. 1st song i ever sang and played bass to Hold Your Head Up. RIP Jim Dave
  3. I very rarely use Tablature these days but i like to keep my hand in. Altho i took lessons for a year (40 years ago) I'm in no way a sight reader but can work my way thru it........slowly. I find i'm using BASS TAB far more these days but i'll use whatever i can get my hands on. Its easier to get TAB for free whereas you generally need to pay for proper Tablature or music sheets
  4. Bass cave. Been a few additions since this was taken like a Fender P Deluxe, an Orange rig and a TE small rig.
  5. You might love your Aria P at the moment but a bass like that SB1000 will keep coming back to every now and again. You will totally regret selling that bass. I've had the SB900 and SB1000 back in 80's and the SB1000 was by far one of the best basses i ever had. Build quality and its incredible tone make it stand out from the crowd. I don't think i've ever played a bass since with that mid growl tone. I seriously think you will regret selling that one. Especially with it being the JT special. Must be quite rare. On hindsight some basses should just never be sold. Dave
  6. Is it possible you were miming and the ecosystem was actually playing the bass for you.
  7. work colleague got one at Scotch Corner Hotel car park and he was staying there that night. He wasn't aware there was a parking issue so never bothered mentioning it when he checked in or out. They then sent him a parking ticket few weeks later. Pretty sure he got of with it but had to contact the hotel for proof he was actually staying there.
  8. I've just ordered a Laptop bag from Amazon for £24 which has lots of extra larger style pockets. Should do the trick nicely.
  9. Mental Health Foundation says a lot about Bass players right enough
  10. Laptop bag sounds interesting and might fit the bill for me too and cheaper than the Lugville bag. The fishing tackle bags are a little bulky for what i was looking for myself. I don't carry a lot to be honest Dave
  11. Just been following the MM Stingray feed on another forum that shall not be named and makes for very interesting reading. What does come out of it is that the MM basses are extremely well made and well worth the money of a new one. Yours at that price is an absolute steal and i would be very tempted if it wasn't for the fact i already have 10 basses and missus would not be chuffed at another. GLWTS Dave
  12. To keep a level head
  13. PeteB;s Lugville from the US which is circa £80 plus P&P is exactly what i was thinking but this could be a close 2nd and at only £30. Leads would still end up in the black hole compartment tho.....
  14. OUCH that sounds like the audition from hell
  15. Only talking about carrying the smaller items, the necesities to get you thru a gig. Leads, batteries, effects, tuner, tools, anything else required in case of breakdown or emergency when gear goes wrong. Not so much the bass or amp side of gigging. Dave
  16. Now i'm gonna laugh. Always thought motorbikes were dangerous. Should i reinforce that you should always cover your head while riding a bike. Dave
  17. Not sure whether to laugh at that or whether its genuine or not. Dave
  18. I was hoping to find something that seperates but lifts. A wonderbra perhaps Seriously thos something that doesn't end up being the pit of doom where all things can get lost in a black hole. The Lugville shown earlier would be ideal but its a bit expensive and don't see any for sale in UK. I like the idea of my leads being secured individually and compartments for other bits and bobs incl smaller pedals like my TC Polytune. The toolbag sounds promising. Will need to look into them a bit more.
  19. On one hand with a 70's covers band was 3weeks from scratch learning 34 songs with key changes made a week into it and doing 2 gigs in one weekend. Current band took 4 mths to get to first rehearsal just last week altho it was a good rehearsal. Lot of variable but i have a max limit 1 year and if not gigging by then its time to move on. I would expect to be gigging within 6mths with most bands tho Dave
  20. That's the very thing i was thinking off. Will see if they are available in UK. Dave
  21. Couldn't find the English version but did find a Wiki explanation and i am now starting to worry. I shall curtail my humourous comments and statements from now. Apologies Dave
  22. I'm afraid my younger years as an Insttrument tech for a large gases company was spent repairing moving coil meters so thought i would have a little fun to see if you would bite. I shall prepare myself for the fallout from that silly mistake I'm sure you will get me back hook line and sinker again. Dave
  23. Yep that's what i'm finding with the one i have
  24. I know all about Faraday. I'm an electrical / electronic engineer but fun is fun
  25. And got you there. Revenge is ever so sweet Dad3353. Dave
