I've seen 3/4 size Fender classical guitars selling for about £50 new. They're not going to be fantastic for that sort of price, but they'll be playable. I reckon you'd struggle to find a playable steel strung guitar in that price range. EDIT: Reminder to brain, read all the posts before replying!

Looking at the RH450 panel layout with its proliferation of LEDs, I think it's pretty certain that the memory buttons are mounted on a PCB (along with the LED display and various other controls) running parallel with the front panel. This isn't going to be a sparsely populated interior like the amps of yesteryear and my gut reaction is that, unless you have some experience of dismantling and reassembling this particular type of panel arrangement, you'd probably be far better off getting someone else to do the repair.

Dusty pots will generally give you a 'crackle' as you turn them. Given the potential age of the amp, I'd suspect that the mains switch has either worn or has tarnished contacts. Some of those old amps also used to have a capacitor strapped across the back of them as a crude 'thud' suppressor - it could be that.

Yes we know about this issue. You're not being 'blocked' from seeing items, all that's happening is that the advertiser has pulled out of the advert at the payment stage. Of course, you could just connect the wires to the terminals that the manufacturer originally put them on and not ever have to worry about any of this.

Gentlemen, I don't think this thread has been particularly fair on the OP so far. He's looking for a bass player for a particular type of band and many of the comments made so far have been far from helpful. As it's been a lovely sunny day, I see no point in spoiling it and have therefore removed the comments.

Wiring the speaker backwards will have a detrimental effect. White or Red are generally +.

This is almost like watching 'Rabies' the musical. Some people don't like Jaco. They're not saying that everyone else is wrong, they're just saying they don't like it. So far I've seen people classed as 'mediocre', threatened', 'not getting it', 'poor choice of heroes' and a whole pile of other rubbish for not liking his stuff. Is there any danger that people can just accept the fact that he's not for everyone and just respect that without making out they're some sort of two headed imbecile from the planet Zob?
