1. I,ve been offered a gig on Friday, but unfortunately its an Irish/country pub. I,m familiar with the standard Patsy Cline/Jim Reeves sort of thing, but its gonna be a root-fifth- ocassional minor night, i,m afraid Anyone familiar with this gendre? I,m after tips on turnarounds, chromatic runs etc, to stop me from nodding off on stage in front of burley blokes who want "The Fields Of Athernrye" Still, I,ve no gig till the 14th of May, so might as well do it. please help me make it interesting for my sake!
2. Cant comment as to wether its genuine or not, but Dill Katz is a pro bass player who I remember used to play for the BBC along with Jonathan Cohen for the Kids programme "Play Away" Brian Cant used to make regular jokes about his name, saying that he had been practicing up alleyways!!
3. Bloody Hell! What a bargain! Where's me wallet!!
4. Hello mate! What type of music you play??
5. Another Fleetwood Mac number - Everywhere, probably one of the worst songs they ever did!!
6. In the famous Abbey Road Studio 2 When I was in there a few years ago, I was a bit disappointed, I always imagined a huge room when in fact its quiet small
7. Ooh! Weymouth! I used to go there and Bridport quiet a lot in my younger days!
8. Fontella Bass - Rescue Me. Not a difficult bassline by any stretch of the imigination, until our singer suddenly anounced she was going to change the key to Eb
9. John Lennon - Imagine All the songs on the plastic ono band album are stripped down to piano, bass and drums.
10. Was gonna pop along, but I'll have to see, as the sodding London Marathon will be clogging up the streets again!!

12. 70,s also have that nice binding on the edge of the neck with those pearl block inlays instead of dot markers.
13. I didnt realise that this problem existed before I bought my Stingray Although mine is a1996 model not a pre EB. After last nights G string drop in volume I thought it was just me! Strangely enough other gigs I have played and never had this problem till last night!
14.
hmmmm..sounds dodgy. Who would cancel by text anyway...?? not sure I would want to be notified of such a thing like that.
We suspect (although have no proof) that it was our former guitarist who was fired last year!!
15. Strange one last night! Played a new club (for us) in High Wycombe. When we got there, they had a sign up saying "sorry no live music tonight due to band illness!!" We spoke to the promoter who showed us a text message he had recieved from someone alledging they were from our band saying we had to cancel as one of of us is ill! No body has any idea who sent it!! On another note, I struggled with the sound of the Ray, as the G string was inaudible! no amount of EQ twiddling could sort it out.
16. where did you get it from? I may get one of those myself
17. I,m a much better rythym guitarist than a lead guitarist due to my stubby fingers But I can pretty much play any chord if asked (except G#+) when I tried to play The Beatles - Something middle 8
