    I don't own a four string at the moment, it's probably fifteen years since I gigged one. But I am on the look out for one as it makes teaching easier. ALso there are a handful of gigs where people expect a four string Fender type bass.

    I find it odd that Soul Man is in the 80's ? I know the film is from then but the tune is from the the mid/late 60's I'd find it hard to resist playing God Save the Queen for the 70s Live and let die would be a good 70s none if you want a rock anthem

    I have an HK elements system, it's amazing. Tiny, loud, crystal clear, ideal for weddings, functions and gigs where space and get in times are an issue. only downside is it's very expensive.

    I've seen them, they're very dinky and look very cool however I just don't get the point of polythene for bass? If you're out of tune you can tell which string it is. Still want one though!

    Was anyone else ever going to get recommended? Our sep guitar player turned up the other week he was using OBBM's cables too, we spent longer than I think is normal talking about the quality and affordability of them. Ubergeeky

    I work for a music charity we can always make use of strings, either for us, or to be given to the young people we work with.

    You can get velcro that is itself sticky, I bought industrial stuff off of ebay. Alternatively I've seen some people drill holes in their board then loop cable ties through.
