I'm pretty sure Dawsons have a 2 for 1 deal on the TC cabs. (although I didn't like the sound of them so much - but that's all done to personal preference).

A little late to the conversation here (don't look at the cabs forum much anymore) I've been gigging an EAD 212 for just under of a year now. To put it simply it's fantastic. Articulate, HiFi (if you want), amazing build quality, loud (don't need to push my amp hard at all), very portable. I don't see me needing another cab for a long long time. The sensitivity/volume of the cab is excellent which pleases me greatly - no need to buy a very powerful head to run it, I don't think I've had to turn my amp (Genz Benz Shuttle max 6) above 40% - and I've used this thing in an aircraft hangar! The fit and finish of these is absolutely first class, whilst Dave has designed and produced these things on his own from the fit finish (and sound) you'd expect there to be a large R&D and manufacturing department behind them, just flawless. There's been a couple of questions about the durability but in the last 11 months I've done well over 30 gigs and countless rehearsals - it looks exactly the same as the day I got it. The finish is bullet proof, shortly after getting the cab I clumsily knocked my mixer into the cab - the (metal) mixer got dented? Not a sign on the cab - rock solid. It's more in line with very high end PA cabs than other bass cabs, and those things cost an arm and a leg. I was also in Reading to hear the 1x12 the other week and the upright through just a power-amp sounded excellent like a set of reference monitors. I'm very happy with my 212 but if you want a smaller cab or a modular set up then I think you'd struggle to find better. I can't make the SE Bass Bash as I'm gigging that day but if people are serious about hearing one and are down south then drop me a PM.

I probably didn't make myself very clear. I don't mind having two separate pedals (one distortion, one flange) just don't really want a big multi effects - had a few band experiences with them in the past). Had a moog moogerfooger in the past - far to complicated and expensive for me. So really looking for advice on how to get that big ballsy distortion.

A good trick to help ignore it when you're sleeping relaxing is to put on a fan or similar (there's even an iPhone app for white noise) this white noise will become background as your brain starts to ignore it - along with the tinnitus.

Not much help I know, but you're not alone. I love my SR5 but have become increasingly frustrated with the lack of tonal variety. And have often thought about swapping out the pre in order to get a deeper low end. Trouble is if you do that it stops sounding like a 'ray. I've also toyed with adding in a second pup, but can't bring myself to do it! Might be worth dropping OBBM a line, he has a beautiful SR5 I'm pretty sure he's changed the neck, pup and pre, so will have some insight.

We've got the Wavedrum and Waver drum mini at work. IMO the Wavedrum mini is a much better bit of kit than the wave drum, and much cheaper. Good fun and we've used them a bit in all sorts of electronica performances.

I play womad every year. It's one of the better festivals to perform at. The musicians are well treated and it has a great atmosphere.

Lately I've been exploring new tech, midid and re-purposing DJ kit to play long side and improvise with. Anyway last Sunday a friend and I were asked to perform at Guitar Fest '12, so we decided to take the opportunity to just jam. It was an early morning session good fun, not without it's mistakes but it is 100% improvised. Just agree a key and off we go....
