i tried trace strings a few years ago, and never got on with them...

i've lost count of the dings i've put in my basses...they're tools, they get damaged. simple as.

to me it's down to the punch... the lbm just takes away all the attack of a note, whereas today i found in the practise space that the double muff (both stages cascaded) brought the grind without mushing up the bottom end. i much prefered the sound of my ruetz modded rat for lower gain sounds. discuss or summit.
