  1. not sure if this is the right place or not, but i figured it would be viewed more here than in the repair section, so here goes i wanna upgrade my peavey grind 6. the bass is gorgoeus, to look at and to play, but the tone leaves a bit to be desired, and sounds definitavly dull compared to my fender. any ideas what should be done to it to make it sound brighter, punchier, and generally more active sounding without nescesarrily ( spelling) being active?? should i replace pickups or put a active preamp in?? suggestions?
  2. ....and its stopped, after changing all the strings, not just the e how bloody perculiar :S
  3. change the string, if that dont work, bang it down to a luthier if you dont want to mess with the truss rod yourself

  15. i raved about this a while ago, and talked a bit bout it somewhere in the effects forum its a 1988 (so im told) soviet 3 band parametric eq pedal. it works as an eq should, very very responsive frequencies and boosts, also has a nice tone too. built like a brick shithouse as with all old skool russian pedals (tank parts cliche avoided ) no power suppy (looks like it was taken out for safety reasons) and can be ran at 9v or 18v with 1 or 2 batteries. great condition for its age, footswitch a bit wobbly but i imagine it was like that when it was built too. never seen another one, bought it on ebay for bout £50 last year, i really love it, but i mainly used it as a preamp, but iv got my trace amp now so i dont need it anymore! before i bought it it was fully serviced (guess this was when the power supply was taken out) and jacks were replaced. offers please, trades certainly, possibly some kind of boost pedal?? the mxr micro amp would be cool, or something similar. always up for distortion too apologies for photo quality, 5 mp camera phone my arse!
  16. sounds too much like a guitar for moi, but lovely looking bass!
