i seem to have a lot of threads in here lately the e/drop d string on my p bass now causes a nasty buzzing sound to come though the amp when i attack it hard. it does it with no other string, and sound worse if i boost the volume/bass with my aguilar preamp. iv checked connections and changed battery n that, n everything seems fine, so im thinking rather than the preamp, it is my emg pickup?? this has suddenly started happening. iv tried adjusting the height of the p pickup, the lower it is, the less the buzz but even when its pretty much as low as it can go, it can still be heard, any ideas what the hell this is?? seems little things keep goin wrong with my guitars at the moment, pissing me off

since i dont drive, its gunna be a little awkward travelling with it, and we all know how sh*t bristol busses are where abouts are you nick?? theres a guy in redfield who's offered to fix it, but its a bit out the way for me to get to

i think the wire needs replacing, by the time iv stripped the wire, it wont be long enough if any basschatter fancied comin round n having a go though, id bung them a tenner...

who do you guys go too?? all i need is my jack in my olp bass to be wired up, as the old wire is f***ed. know anyone decent who'd sort it out for me for little/no cash??

the new mini one is out now too aint it???? i was expectin it to be cheaper though...

id recommend you stick the chorus at then end just before the delay, perhaps put the bass squeeze right at the end after the delay, but then again i like compression before distortions.. but hey man whatever works for you

theres on for sale at my local music buy sell place not great cosmetics, wood is pretty worn and dinged in places, but still looks nice, with the thru neck style body, but with a bolt on neck. voume knob missing. its the active 80's one with the precision pickup with the switch for series/parallel, and the active passive switch. it plays really well, great punchy tone, but i didnt get chance to try it in active mode, daft bugger didnt have any 9v batteries to put in it! (it takes two, which suprises me as it only has one active eq knob, boost n cuts bass and treble at the same time, in additon to a passive tone knob) they are askin for £150, which seems to be above the average costs iv found on the net, but the guy doesnt seem to wanna go down much. opinions?? i think a few guys have one on here

gotta love that paint job! i dunno, i sold mine because it didnt work well with my musicman
