agree with pretty much all that is said here however i have never found the DI to be noisy, recording wise anyways, its been great glad your clearly enjoying it as much as i am!

it wont fit without you drilling holes into your bass, thats for sure

i bought the exact same bass from crack converters only in sunburst last week for £50, only to get home and discover the neck was warped to sh*t, which apparantly is a common problem with cheapo hondo's. i got it refunded, seemed like a decent enough bass, despite the plywood!! looks quite nice mate

i really struggle to play with a pic, and i tend to get pains goin through my arm after a while trying, so i go back to fingers

a replacement jack surely wont need a new preamp??? i aint no expert, but i dont think a output volume drop could be caused by a faulty jack
