1. I have a 60's Hofner Violin case needing total recovering - it's a Selmer era type. The green felt inside is present. Anybody any ideas? Potential costs? Thanks!
2. Boxed in excellent condition with new PSU postage will be a fiver UK only sorry no trades.
3. CMI Jazz Bass MIJ '70s This is an old CMI branded Jazz type bass, I've also seen basses similar to this branded Grant, Maya, etc. It's actually a nice playing bass with a good neck and low action. There are experts on this forum who may know what factory it originated from. I'd guess that CMI could be Cleartone Musical Instruments - a distributor or importer's brand. The electrics are original although the bridge pickup is quite weak in comparison to the neck which produces a good strong sound. The sunburst finish is rather nice with only a couple of dings at the back, the neck is excellent, frets good, binding intact, working truss rod. The body is heavy but it's probably ply with a veneer as many of these copies were constructed. It's just over 9lbs in weight and balances well. Ashtrays are long gone though the thumb rest is there. It comes with an old strap but nothing else.
4. And up again - lovely bass at a bargain price
5. Thanks folks Yes it's a great bass - fine example of what Fender can produce - I think it's a fair price too.
6. I'll have them pm me with your PayPal address
7. And that's because they are tremendous basses Tom. I love my old Grabber 1 bass I would love this too
8. I have a rather nice fiesta red Roadworn bass in excellent - Roadworn - condition. It comes with a gig bag. Plays very nice indeed with a low action. It's an early model from 2008. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK for around £20. Now strung with Fender nickel round wounds 40-100. The nut width is a bit too skinny for me as I prefer a wider neck. I'm not looking for trades as my GAS is firmly attached to something else. These basses are fantastic quality and this one sounds lovely. It has a couple of tiny bumps to the back of the neck but nothing to break the lacquer or get in the way of playing. Pics now added. Sold thanks
9. I'm negotiating on this one for postage for one of the kids in the family. But far for me to travel so we will see 😊
10. PM sent
11.
Don't think so - seller says he thinks it's a one-off & I'm inclined to agree. Looks quite nicely made, has a hint of the Ned Callans about it. Loving the banjo tuners! The bridge is interesting, it's a Schaller 3D made for a 2-point Gibbo fitting, discontinued years ago AFAIK. I think that's proper cool, you should buy it if it doesn't go too mad. J.
Yes I thought this looked a bit Ned Callan or even Gordon Smith - never seen another I may have a pop as I like short scale basses for travelling about with! Looks very 'British built' to me.
