  1. Here is another that has gone way ahead of its value! I sold a near mint one recently for not much more than this. Lockdown boredom? The seller is very honest about it’s condition people must be going stir crazy.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Precision-Bass-Guitar/265061210296?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  2. It went for nearly £900! Amazing. I wouldn’t have paid £300 for it.
  3. It’s a bitsa - as others have said. It’s got some Fender parts but from different eras. The machineheads are early to mid 70s. The serial sticker on the rear of the scratchplate is later 70s and possibly it’s been stuck on a none Fender scratchplate. The neck plate has the black plastic gasket so possibly legit but copies are easy enough to buy online. The pickups would be best identified by looking at the bobbins underneath. The pots are nothing like my 70s bass - here’s a pic. It’s all very vague. The thumbrest has the brown colour of some 70s era rests. The neck is as he says a replacement.

Pete bought a Seymour Duncan pickup from me. Great guy to deal with, many thanks!
  5. Funkle was first in line and it sold to him. Thanks for your interest. I have a Dimarzio I’ll be putting up at some point too. Cheers
  6. Excellent pickup in great condition for sale. This was fitted to my old Precision briefly whilst an issue with the original pickup was repaired. Classic P bass sound. Does what’s expected of it with no issues. Can post for £3.50 signed for. UK only.
  7. I’m selling this spare body that was used with my ‘78 P bass neck when the original body was being repaired. This is from a recent Squier 70’s Precision. As you can see the body has had a repair and a touch up at the bottom as it had a bump in transit. With neck and hardware attached it weighs around 4.2kgs. I have included a cream none original scratchplate. The earth wires are there as are the strap buttons. It’s UK only and I can post for £12.
  8. Seller sounds very full of themselves. I wouldn’t pay anywhere near what they are asking. It appears to be one of those with the bad quality finish and is peeling. It has been stored in silage.
  9. I bought a fabulous Precision off Gerry very quick delivery, excellent bass! Many thanks.
  10. I’ll have a look at the video. The bass reminds me of those ‘Robin Ranger’ branded US/MIJ basses you used to see in US Bass Player magazine years ago. I liked the look of those too.
  11. I take your point about the pickup rout but I like the overall design, different take on your classic Fender. I would not go anywhere near this at that price. To like the look of something is very different from wanting to purchase it however.
  12. I like the look of this - don’t know if the price is good or anything about the company but it looks good....for a relic type bass. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluesman-Vintage-Deville-Bass-Guitar-With-Fender-Hard-Case/324465110740?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  13. I guess you’d use a stool
  14. Haven’t we debated this one before? That logo is a more modern Ibanez one surely. Kay with an Ibanez decal? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ibanez-bass-1970s-lawsuit/224320770209?hash=item343a8f50a1%3Ag%3Au~kAAOSwGB1gBdZu&LH_ItemCondition=3000
  15. I bought this Greco GOB 750 off eBay last week - it’s very well made. Through neck and light weight.
  16. Similarly my Grabber’s body looks like a 70’s Ercol coffee table 😁
  17. Very nice! What’s the weight before Tom asks 🤣?
  18. I bought a Markbass Micro combo and it arrived quickly, well packed and as described. Perfect transaction. Many thanks!
  19. Yes the Grabber bridge is a simple string through BBOT design. I have kept the metal ashtray cover on mine as the saddle grub screws are so tall they are likely to snag your hand brutally.
  20. I’ve had a couple, great sounding and playing but both I had weighed over 5kgs!
  21. Good luck if you can find a good one at a decent price prowla. Mine is a little beast it’s got a great sounding pickup and a lovely neck. On the pic it has a hipshot bridge but I reverted back to the original.
  22. This is my ‘natural selection’ including my ‘74 Grabber!
  23. Fender Contemporary Precision Bass Made in Japan 1986/87. These basses were known as the Boxer series in Japan apparently . They were known for their excellent necks and very powerful pickups. These are more commonly seen in a PJ configuration. It’s an excellent bass in very good condition albeit with some dings and paint chips. Pickup in person however I am happy to post at buyers cost in the UK only. No trades.
