Beautiful luthier made signature Precision built in 2014, you all know what a great reputation Jon Shuker has and this is a superb example of his work. This comes with Shuker branded Hiscox case, specification list from Shuker, tools and JJ Burnell pick. It also has the signature of both builder and player on the headstock. This model differs from the standard JJ model slightly in that it has all black hardware, single ply scratchplate and ABM bridge. I purchased it from eBay very recently from the original owner, I had everything confirmed by Jon who remembered the bass and the slight changes from stock. It weighs 4.1kgs and has a 44mm nut width, the neck is superb and the bass balances perfectly. Neck depth is shallow and measures 18/19 mms at first fret and 22mms at the heel. I’m loathed to part with it because it is such a fantastic bass and because of the association with one of my first bass heroes. The combination of a wider nut width than I’m used to however and the fact I’m leaning towards medium scale instruments at the moment means it’s just not going to get played. The bass is in the same condition as when I purchased it. There are a few scratches and marks to the finish but nothing structural or unsightly, it is in excellent condition. It has new Daddarios on it. I’m asking what I paid for as I think it’s a very fair price for one of these, a new version (without the signatures) would cost well over 2K and would come with a long wait! Frets are excellent, like new as they are steel, neck is straight and true, low action. No offers, no trades. I’d really prefer pickup for this. U.K. only. More pics to follow, I’m in the middle of packing for my move so it’s currently in its case safely away from the chaos! Only trades to tempt me - a short-scale EB Stingray (US only) plus cash my way, a Ric 4003 or 4003s, a short/medium scale Precision with maple board plus cash my way. No other trades, sorry I will ignore anything else. PM me rather than put offers on this thread. I’d prefer cash and trade value I’d expect to be looking at an £1800 value on this. Cheers!

Aria Pro II RSB 600 Rev Sound Bass Beautiful Japanese made bass from the classic early 80’s period. This is similar to the SB700 however it has the Fender type headstock. Brass nut, through neck and passive electrics with coil tap. Absolutely original and in pretty good condition for a working bass of over 40 years. There is a cosmetic repair at the bottom and some scratches and dings throughout but nothing structural or nasty. Bass is heavy at 4.7kgs but balances well and is fine on a wide strap. Action is low and the frets and truss rod are good. It comes without a case but I can pack it well if you want it posting - UK only. No trades sorry. I’m looking for a quick sale so £350 Ono. Postage will be extra.

Enzo bought my G&L Fallout - very quick and easy deal, many thanks! Enjoy the bass.

The only Jazz bass I have kept is my 1983 Squier logo JV which I originally bought in 1986. I’ve had many US Fender Jazz basses and posh custom versions but not one has lived up to the standard set by my faithful JV. If you buy this you will have a Jazz for life and a rare and increasingly valuable investment.

Electro Harmonix Bassballs Twin Dynamic Filter Bass Guitar Effects Pedal vintage model. The pedal is in excellent condition and comes with wooden box. All original with instruction leaflets and contemporary warranty card. Works great and sounds amazing. It’s a heavy package and postage will reflect this. Rare to find in this condition. U.K. only no trades sorry.

It’s not chambered, this is the solid body version, it weighs 4.2kgs

No smug NBD yet but it was me! It arrived today slightly later than anticipated and I’ve just put a new set of D’Addarios on it. It’s very nice, the nut width is slightly wider than my Corona Precision but the profile is flatter and very comfortable. The existing strings were heavy Rotos so I’ve given the trussrod a tweak and am letting it settle in. The Jack socket was scratchy so I swapped it for a new Switchcraft one, gave me an opportunity to have a look under the lid. All very neat and tidy I must say. A very classy bass, I can see why a lot of players rave about them. Coincidentally I was emailing Jon Shuker just prior to seeing this with the thought of having one made. Not a signature instrument person usually but JJ Burnel was my first bass hero having seen him on TOTP and then buying the Walk On By EP with my pocket money! The JJ signature on the back of the headstock is a nice bonus. I told Jon I’d got it and he gave me loads of info about it and said I could bring it in for a service if need be. It’s about the same as my Corona bass weight wise so not too heavy. I’m going to play it at the weekend and see how I get on with the nut width, I’ll only know after a long gig. If it doesn’t work for me I’ll definitely get one made by Jon but so far I’m very pleased with this.

Little Mark Tube 500 Markbass Spares & Repairs - *SOLD*
ash posted a topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Selling as spares, a friend asked me to sell this for him on the forum a year or so back. It sold quickly but was returned to me and the buyer was reimbursed as there is a problem with it. It fires up as you can see however there is drop out in volume and sometimes no volume at all, it’s not been used since it’s return and as I’m moving house and it’s still here he’s asked me to sell as spares. Reading up on these it may be a board that needs fixing. Or if you are an engineer you could try sorting it out yourself. It comes with box but no mains lead, I used my keyboard amp lead for the pics. I have no cab to test it but it’s not been touched since it’s return and only powered up for the pics. Looking for £100 spares - I can post in the U.K. but at buyer’s cost. If rather it be picked up in all honesty but needs must. Cosmetically it’s fine and up until the return it had been PAT tested and serviced. It’s an Italian model if that makes a difference to you. Markbass blurb: The Little Mark Tube gives the warmth and richness of a tube preamp, or the clean attack of a solid state preamp… or a mix of both! On the front panel there are also two inputs with separate gain controls: one 1/4” jack, and one combo jack that accepts either a XLR or 1/4” cable. Additional features include switchable 48V phantom power for the XLR input, solid-state/tube mix control, four bands of equalization, VLE and VPF filters, line out level control, pre-post EQ switch for the XLR out (on rear panel), and mute control (push-pull on the master knob). -
More unmitigated optimism on pricing

All the items listed under the username are overpriced - those Harley Benton and other instruments have been on and off for months. Chancer. -
Dave bought a Musicman from me, very quick no nonsense deal. Many thanks deal in confidence!

I bought this Indonesian Tribute version of the Fallout bass and really like it - so much so I’m going to buy the US version. As a result I’m selling this one, it’s the rarer black and rosewood finish version - short scale 30” but proportioned more like a full scale bass. It’s a good weight at 4.2kgs and well balanced. Still retains the plastic on the guard. Plays well with the factory set up and strings - though I’d probably buy a heavier gauge to improve string tension. Great sounding pickup and very resonant. Some minor factory imperfections highlighted on the pics. Can post in the UK only. No trades sorry. Great short scale bass at a decent price. Near new condition.

I bought this recently but the smaller body proportions don’t work for me so I’m going the G&L route. It’s in near new condition some tiny blemishes but nothing major think lightly used bass. This is the sought after ‘dropped copper’ finish and maple combo. It’s very light weight and fast and easy to play, some small mods. I added a removable thumbrest which allows you to play in the Precision position, strap locks have been fitted and it comes with a quality strap. No trades, U.K. post only at buyers cost. It’s a lovely little bass - specs here: Here's What Sterling By Music Man Say About the Stingray Short Scale: The Sterling by Music Man Short Scale StingRay bass has the iconic StingRay sound shrunk down into a 30” scale length package. With easier accessibility, a passive boost, and a single humbucking pickup with higher output neodymium magnets, the Short Scale StingRay offers comfortability without compromise. The pickup configuration includes parallel, true single-coil, and series modes for diverse tonal options. 30" Short Scale For the first time, the iconic StingRay design is available with a 30" short scale makeover, delivering easier playability. Easy to deal with - quick payment and great communication - thanks Ander!

No changes to description other than the price, Ebay may have pulled it because of people reporting it, this person is either a chancer or deluded that it is the real thing. Its probably a decent enough bass but it’s no US Fender - at best a Bitsa - as a few comments have suggested there are many who don’t know much about Fenders who could get taken in by this.

Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Short-scale Bass Guitar USA Bought very recently from a fellow Basschat forum member and selling at what I purchased it for. This beautiful short-scale version of the StingRay bass has a roasted maple neck and fingerboard and passive pickup. It has a 30” scale and smaller body which makes it light and easy to play. It weighs under 7lbs and is in near mint condition with original case and tools. I bought it to help with issues with my fretting hand however I find I’m happier with my old Mustang bass. This bass was produced in limited quantities in this size and finish, it’s a beautiful instrument and rare in the U.K. you can see the barcode sticker on the back so new it hasn’t been removed! Lots of reviews and information on the internet. No trades or offers sorry. U.K. only, pickup preferred but I will post at buyer’s cost. From Ernie Ball - The Ernie Ball Music Man Short Scale StingRay bass offers a big thumpy round sound in a convenient smaller package. A 30” scale allows for easier playability due to the shorter spacing between the frets. The Ernie Ball Music Man passive humbucking pickup, equipped with higher output neodymium magnets, has been specially designed for the short scale bass, providing its signature warm tone. Electronics package includes a 3-way rotary switch featuring parallel, true single-coil, and series modes. Like its big brother the Stingray Special, the short scale bass comes standard with a modern classic bridge, 22 stainless steel frets, and new lightweight Music Man tuning machines with a finer gear ratio.
