1.
Are they? don't be sorry it was advertised as a usa one!!!! But yes great kit , thanks for that ..
Yes, I had one of the first Renowns (not Purewood) kits into the UK - absolutely superb kit, looked and sounded fantastic. I do regret getting rid - though now I have a USA one!
2. Hi, sorry to be a pain but it's not a made in USA Gretsch - the Renown series is all Far Eastern made. Lovely kit though!
3. Bought basically a home studio from Paul - drum mics, a FireWire audio interface and Xlr leads. It arrived in super fast time, packed superbly and he even chucked in the FireWire cable - thanks Paul!
4. Bought a Dimarzio Ultrajazz from Alan - great to deal with, packed expertly and he even held off posting at my request so it wouldn't arrive during my house move - a true gent, thanks.
5. D'oh! Still up for sale, but inadvertently put into storage with the rest of my worldly possessions, so if anyone wants it, unfortunately they'll have to wait until the end of October. Arse.
6. Ashdown After Eight practice amp. 15w, with line in for CD/iPod, and headphone socket for silent practice. Good condition, just surplus to requirements. Collection from Brum (before Sept) or Bath/Bristol after Sept.
7. Bought two RHCP books from Rob, both great and arrived quickly - thanks.
8. Sorry, just to be clear - can this be used for a fresh install of Logic? I.E. when you say it comes with the licence, will that allow another use (me!) to install it, or will I have to buy another licence? If it's the former, I'll take it. Cheers Jake
9. I will take it! I'll PM details later. Cheers Jake
10. If Ashwood doesn't have them, I'll take them. Ta Jake
11. Got a pbass bridge cover from Ian - no probs, quick postage - thanks.
12.
Just wanted to add my name to the list of people who've owned one of these, and regretted selling it. I seem to recall that BassBunny warned me at the time.
Add another to that list! I've had both a Trib and a USA L2500, and regretted selling both. Sadly, they just weren't seeing any use, but I'll certainly be after another in the future, space/funds allowing!
13. Howard has just sorted me out with a red tort precision scratchplate. All done with the minimum of fuss, and he even went so far as to say he'd take it back if it didn't fit/wasn't the right colour. A pleasure to deal with - thanks.
14. I have one of these, and I run an MB500 through it. Even at 350w at 8ohms it's staggeringly loud. I'd love another to get the full 500w but don't think anyone I play with would thank me!
15.
Do you have incredibly high action, or is it the picture?
Those are actually the photographs I took just after I got the instrument, before it'd been set up for me, and before Nick got it.
16. Bought a tort jazz scratchplate from Simon - he went so far as to double-check I was happy with the extra holes that he'd already put in his ad (I was) and sent it out really quickly. Thanks!
17. I have one of these, it's great. I used it with an active G&L and a passive jazz, and managed to get a pretty good balance.
