1. Really would prefer not to have to resort to eBay...
2. Really would prefer not to have to resort to eBay, so offers?
3. Boxed Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe for sale - £160 posted ono. It's all that lovely BD goodness doubled - two channels, three programmable settings on each - or if you're crazy, six separate settings on one channel! Has switchable effects loop, DI out, ground lift, two inputs and one 1/4 output, battery or wallwart power. I'm looking to sell because I just don't use it to it's full potential! Comes w/original box, but no instructions -I can print the destructions from the Tech 21 website for you if you need them. Trade-wise, I'd particularly be looking for a maple f/b jazz neck, 3Leaf Audio GR2 filter, Radial Bigshot I/O plus cash, but will happily entertain reasonable offers. Not after any drive/distortion pedals though, thanks. I'm also selling a nice Jazz - over on the Basses for sale board. Cheers Jake
4. I have a Fender Jazz for sale which comprises a Geddy Lee signature body and electrics and a Mexican Standard neck. I bought it from a basschatter who had appropriated the neck to marry with a Mex Deluxe body. It's in great condition - I added a Hipshot BT-7 and it's currently set up with a J-Retro, but the bass as sold comes with the standard Geddy electrics (i.e. passive VVT). The J-Retro isn't for sale, sorry. It comes with a black standard pickguard, but I have white standard and a black marine pearl guard that I'll throw in. The neck was dressed and set up about 8 months ago and the guitar plays beautifully. Reason for sale is it's been replaced by a rather sultry MIJ 62 RI Jazz, so it's surplus to requirements. I'm looking for £325 ONO. I can post, I have a hardcase - PM me and we'll discuss postage options. Trade-wise, I'd consider a fretless (lined or unlined), or an early cheap Warwick Corvette or similar, or a 1x12" lightweight cab, or a 1x12", 2x10" or 1x15" GK Neo cab, or a 3Leaf GR2 Envelope Filter, with cash adjustments to suit either way if appropriate. Happy to listen to reasonable offers, and in no rush to sell so can wait if necessary. Located in Brum and have a car, so happy to meet up a reasonable distance. I'm also selling a Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe - see other ad. Ta Jake
5. Would you trade for a Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe?
6. Am I right in thinking its PSU only, not battery? Cheers Jake
7. Not really sure what I'm looking for, TBH. I currently play drums in a great funk band, but I'm always up for new and different stuff as well. I'm easy-going but I really hate endless noodly rehearsals with no gigging, so I'd like to hook up with either an established band or people used to playing with different players regularly. I love playing jazz, so anything straight ahead jazz would be great, or even swing/big band too (lots of trio, quartet, big band experience over the years). My absolute ideal would be a hammond based funk-jazz outfit!! Anything bluesy, or soul-related might be good too - I'd love to slot into a good soul function band outfit, if there's one about. Wouldn't mind depping/subbing for interesting gigs as one or two-offs too - I love a challenge, and as long as its covers, I can usually get the set down pretty quickly. I'm not really into heavy rock, metal or punk though, but again if it's different or interesting (mebbe Zed Lep Cream, Purple style stuff) I could be persuaded. Of course, there's funk too - but you'd have to go some way to top my current outfit (and I'm not looking to leave it) and whilst I love funk stuff, it'd have to be different to what I'm doing now. So- basically - I love a challenge, I love jazz, blues, soul, funk, classic rock, happy to dep so hit me up with what you've got and I'll get back to you. I know a wide range of musicians so even if I can't do what you're after, I could probably put you in touch with someone. Thas for reading! Jake
8. Gah! Just paid £10 more than that for one on eBay! Curses! Good luck with the sale.
9. I'm sorry, that's simply not true. I offered to rearrange my weekend plans completely to accommodate you, but you couldn't even be bothered to do me the courtesy of replying to say that wasn't suitable. If you'd simply been polite enough to reply to any of my repeated PMs and say you couldnt make that weekend, fine. You do know the forum records when PMs have been read by the recipient, don't you? But it's "not cool" to ignore people because it's seemingly too much hassle meet them. It's a basic courtesy that you seem to be lacking in, and it's taken me pointing it out here for you even to respond.
10.
Actually I PM'd him and he returned my message in about 2 hours. Seemed like a good dude to me.
As he did to me - until I actually tried to arrange collection.
11. Still available, because if it's even slightly inconvenient for the seller to meet (in Central London, no less) he won't bother to even do you the courtesy of responding to your messages, even though it's clear from the forum that they've been read. Heaven forbid if you would like to meet before 12pm - probably that rock'n'roll lifestyle... For the record, I was fully prepared to rearrange my entire weekend plans to accommodate meeting for collection, but as the seller couldnt even be bothered to reply, thankfully I didn't have to.
12. Flogged a compressor pedal to me, superbly packed, and shipped promptly too. Whadda guy!
13.
The thing is Jake, I do love the Sterling but I never use it, so would like to get something else. Besides, you know I don't like owning too many basses at any one time..
I can't end up with more guitars than you!
14. Lawks! I remember you talking about it, but I never thought I'd see the day!
15. Picked this up a while back, intending to refurb it. Cleaned up the drum shells, and put new heads on, but it's just sitting around now: It's an early 70's Olympic, mahogany shells, 12/14/20/14 with 16 and 18 cymbals. It's been well-used - the cymbals are both cracked, so really for practice only. Stands are fine, it's all in working order, and the drums sound lovely. Be nice to see this go to a loving home - great quality jazz kit. £150 anyone collected from Brum?
16. Also happy to sell separately if anyone's interested!
17. Having a cymbal clear-out to fund bass purchases! Set of TRX BRT rock cymbals - 24" ride, 21" and 20" crashes. All unlathed, brilliant finish hand-hammered Turkish cymbals. Very complex, the crashes are thinner than you'd expect but still described as "extra-heavy". £300 ono
