1.
It's going to be hard to lose our high-scoring 'Like' totals though, isn't it Skank?
Yeah it's a funny old thing this rep system... you make quips all day long and you earn a massive rep score yet if you take time out from your day job to assist people to get their basses working or impart actual knowledge you don't get nowt.
 2.
I've just voted without reading the 13 pages that have preceded this post. I do feel that having a negative option / dislike isn't the most ideal setup. If I posted a couple of things and accidentally that upset / disagreed with other people's opinions then I'd get a dislike vote purely for having an opinion which wouldn't encourage me to post in the future in case I get disliked again - and i'm a sensitive soul!. I don't think that being negative is the way forward, but the like thing is a good touch.
I know it's not a popular thing to do in this thread but...... +1
 3.
Will work fine..but use thin brass sheet instead of tape?
Why?
 4. I'll work beautifully. Once it's in place, test it with a multimeter if you have one just to make sure.
 5.
Oh good it wasn't jibberish then
It was the good gibberish
 6.
Another way of saying what I was trying to get across ta muchly
Yep me too. But I'm fairly content in the knowledge that when faced with 3 options most people here just won't see it that way (even when you helpfuly broke it down to that red / yellow thing).
 7.

Wasn't me, only do that on things I want.
My bad.
This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold.
Oh well.
 8.
I expect there are a lot of non bass players who have registered just to post a 'Bass Player Wanted' thread or someone replying to a 'For Sale' ad and have not been back since.
The FS sections are always seeing noobs who show up to sell something then run.
 9.
I like that someone bid so he can't correct it.
I wonder who did that.
 10.
They've worked it out already, they're just waiting until they have exhausted all other options before using it for a new range of each of those options
Haha. Careful though, many a true word is spoken in jest.
 11.
I just accidentally liked a post. I need a retract button.
Oh no. If it was one of mine I can reciprocate. I know how much it would gall for you to have liked one of my posts.
 12.
Looking good..the grain is so well matched that I had to go back and check it really was three piece..lovely grain - you're not going to cover this up though are you?? Surely you're going down the "translucent" route rather than a solid finish..it would be a shame to hide the grain..I've got Birds eye Maple on the fretboard of my Overwater (see the Avatar) - looks and plays great - hope yours is going to be the same..while Rich is adding curves may I suggest the curve that Fender have added to the Deluxe models where the neck joins the body to make access to the higher notes easier - seems obvious now - only took Fender 60 years to figure it out. check out the images at 1:40
Nice vid. If you look closely at the body blank you'll see that rather than chamfering that corner down, I have removed it completely to produce an angled approach to the neck pocket and further improve access to the upper frets. I wonder how long it will take Fender to suss that one out.
 13. Leave it out. The poor guy probably has Austism or something.
 14.
One can be right and unpopular. This is democracy in action.
Yeah tell me about it.
 15.
O really don't know if they are chrome or anything else.
Most chromes feel sort of "scratchy" a bit like a nail file while nickles feel a bit smoother and let your fingers glide over them more.
 16. I wonder if they are Fenders (I had some way back that looked like that)? You should at least be able to narrow down if they are chrome or nickle by the feel of them. Sorry I can't be much more help.
 17.
Mr letts is right you could pick up a cheap Plannnnner/thicknesser for the cost of return postage....
Where abouts? I'm the market for an "ok" thicknesser for bass bodies and the cheapest ones (Dewalt - not interested in anything less than their spec) are about £350+... and even then they won't take a full body because of the gate width limitations.
 18.
I agree, it's usually safer.
That's what I keep saying to the Mrs anyway.
 19.
had to post... £3,000 for a recordable cassette with 'Prodigy 96' written on it in pen??!!!??
It was so nice of Keith to autograph it some what oddly with the year on it (even though the year is already written on it by the same person - look at the 9's) .... and almost nothing like these ones from the same era off a fan site.... http://www.brainkill...es/rolling0.jpg http://www.brainkill...nes/circus0.jpg ... but somewhat clumsily like the one that comes up first when you google "keith flint autograph". If you look close you can see that the K looks close but is actually formed (the direction lines cross) very differently. 20. It's very hard to get them to line up neatly on the reverse. If anything you should try and do it from the rear.
 21. That would be quite acceptable. Your t/r should have been able to compensate for that even if you mean a back bow or a forward one. Presumably as your t/r has now snapped it bears no influence on the wood right now. In a perfect world it would be dead straight at the moment (with no strings and no t/r) but that need not necessarily be the case as it has spent it's entire life having some degree of bow being forced upon it.
 22.
Explains why the punters had more interest in my deep shag pile coat rather than the music.....
23.
How come perry was playing bass there too then?
They originally booked Pink Floyd but due to an administrative error he turned up instead.
 24.
First Moffat bash i went to i didn't take a bass!
No Mike that was the Moffat Llama Fanciers Society you went to first time around.
 25.
Puritan! You're allowed to change your mind, you know.
I know but I hardly ever do... without good reason.
