1. Guys beware I saw this on the bay for £8,999.99.
 2.
Whatever this thread is selling I want it......do you take trades ? Part ownership of a sex Gerbil ?
+++ GNAWSOME +++
 3.
..and yet nobody with "+++AWESOME+++" in their ad has removed the offending script..makes you think that some people don't know when they're having the p155 ripped out of them..
If you look closer you'll find the origins of this meme. It's just like "TIM" all over again.
 4.
This did make me chuckle, I'm going to put +++awesome+++ in all of my posts, we could start a game... Spot the awesomeness
+++ AWESOME +++ is the new TIM. (see my sig btw)
 5. That looks... ooh... what's the word?
 6. Haha the OP just tried to spam a FS thread of mine (presumably as some sort of juvenile revenge) then deleted it. Don't be so pissy man. If you've got a problem with anything I've said here just come out and say it to me... leave the stalking to the weirdos. Besides, you have your own meme now... not to mention an +++ AWESOME +++ comedy thread made in your honour. Btw you do realise that just because you've deleted your post in my thread it doesn't mean that the mods can't see it right? Congrats with "the sale" btw.
 7.
Is this on the way out now the Mastotron is in? If only it had 7 strings.
Indeed so. If it weren't for the Masturbatotron I'd be hanging on to it.
 8.
Or possible the headstock end is the adjustment (because its a copy) and there is a gap in the scratchplate for genuine heel adjustment necks...
Yep, either way man... I'm not sticking up for it, i was just saying like.
 9. Up for sale this ++++ AWESOME ++++ Blowtorch... THIS PEDAL IS A KILL..... Now, now then. That's just about enough of that. Let's just get on with it. pics... vid... Lovely example, full working order, comes in it's original box. £80 posted. Much love. Terry Tibbs.
 10. Well in my experience you don't want a push/pull for a kill switch as they are too easily (dis)engaged by mistake. I used to use a rotary on/off myself but have also made them with small flip switches... but that's no use for your mod.
 11.
Thanks guys. I'm thinking that a Push/Pull pot may well be the way to go, I get a killswitch but still retain control of the volume...
Ah my bad. I thought you wanted rid of the volume control.
 12.
Outshined I reckon you must be about 600 years old. ...
Believe me, at times I feel it.
 13. Have a butchers at the Aguilar OBP-3
 14. You might want to give it a day or two out of the case to aclimatise... who knows the weather might change and you'll have to get it all set up again.
 15.
I'm still a bit confused. If they are average bass guitars worth say £100-£150 each on a good day why are they being bigged up by the good Dr. Judging by his feed back I doubt he's the type of guy who would try and mug his fellow BCers off.....
I guess its always a gamble when you are jumping on a new bandwagon - in this case Jap crap. Only a couple of years ago all Jap crap was regularly being snapped up for £30 but then the road-worn/mojo scene hit and suddenly everything beat-up or edgy or with a bit of "history" became hot. Just as with all '70's Fenders previously untouchable with bargepoles now comanding a premium these days, it would seem that anything else '70's or '80's and looking like a Fender is being hyped just as much regardless of actual merit. Just look in the main Jap crap thread, all the latest examples catching the expert's eyes are going for £200 or more. This particular instance was I dare say simply a misjudged offencive against people who know too much... the fact that the bass was on on the bay for less than half the price it was advertised on here with the promise of "This is a bargain, trust me... you'll never get that quality P-bass for that money again..." answers the second part of your question I think. That's not to say that there aren't really good '70's Jap crap bargains out there. I was lucky enough to find one local to me earlier this year for £80 which turned out to the best P bass I've ever owned... no hype, no rose tinted specs, just plain fact. It's a no-name one-piece, maple/maple with original '70's style (big) tuners and original cream DiMarzios. Everyone who's played it has been blown away with it - I was even offered a silly sum of money for it... but it's a genuine keeper. I even played it at a bass bash in front of a audience of bassists, that's how good I think it is. So they are out there. Personally, I wouldn't pay more than £100 for Fenderesque Jap crap unseen but that's just me. It could well be that this bass is as legendary as it's being advertised as... but with the other one being described in exactly the same vane... well. I think it's fair to say that this thread has become derailed now. I feel bad that this had to happen here. My best advice to the good Dr is to put it on ebay... there's one born every minute... we'd rather it wasn't one of us. And next time remember it's always best to just stick to the facts when advertising gear on here... there are too many enthusiasts and experts around here not to.
 16. Oh yeahhh. In before the +++ AWESOME +++ -> linky
 17.
I'm confused are these bass guitars awesome or sh1t. Is this a scam or what's going on here. I actually fancied the p bass. I was gonna make an offer but it seems the thread has been closed. Can someone shed a little light here.
It's not a scam. Just some inaccuracies and over enthusiastic hyperbole in the description... and a bit not as down to earth as you usually see on here. I hope I'm not breaking any rules in clarifying this for you.
 18. 19. If you wanted a simple rotary switch instead of a push/pull I have some. They have plastic shafts (still good for guitar knobs) but I have used one in my own personal bass for a kill switch without any problem at all.
 20. I can't see too well on my phone but couldn't it be that the headstock end is blanked off and the adjuster is legitimately at the heel?
 21.
......When you've annoyed them enough with the 6-string and they've fired you, that's when the 7 (or more) -string bass really shines: You can use it to upload videos of yourself in your bedroom two-handed tapping pieces of music that would sound much nicer on a piano.
22. The 5th string is a handy thumb rest for almost any position... any more stings on a bass than that only serve to make you repellent to women. Seriously though, read up on "extended range" basses/guitars ... sometimes the music needs it.
 23.
ill give you 419.94.?
Careful what you say or you might end up with a "lawsuit"
 24.
my first instinct is that the snare needs to come down a touch, and the bass needs some of ultra low end cutting out and maybe the whole level brought down a touch the guitars sound good, just sound like they are getting a bit drowned out by the bass and drums
Nice one thanks. Hardly surprising as those are my favorite bits. I keep telling myself that the art of mixing is probably in not letting your own favorite things becoming too dominant... but it's hard not to. My g/f told me early on in the mixing that the drums sounded like they were too separate (like in a different room) I think it was because of too much reverb - is that still there?
 25. Check out Nadir's Big Chance if you can - one of my favs.
