2. Electronics are comparatively easy to rectify. Not having more info about the problem, the important thing here is whether or not the active circuit is encased in resin (therefore inoperable) or a standard PCB type circuit board. Bad wiring is a piece of piss to fix. If it's all that's wrong with it then AFAIC it would be worth a punt - worse case scenario is you end up replacing the stock circuit with something else.
3. I dunno tomboy, I think this has relevance in a bass forum. I pretty much hate football but would consider one of these purely because of the Derek Smalls connection.
4.
Really? She obviously made a mistake when she listed it, why would you try and force her to send it to you? Would you keep someones wallet if you found it? It's their own stupid fault for leaving it right? I despair..
Dude, that metaphor is not even remotely relevant to this situation.

6. Jackhammers are ace for bass.
7.
Sold my almost never used BOSS SYB-5. Payment was swift, item was sent, item recieved! Great guy to deal with, no nonsense and good with PM's...what more could be said?
I just bought Chris' BOSS SYB-5 to see how it compares to my SYB-3. Very fast delivery on it and now I'm making all these Daft Punk, Jamiroquai noises today. Cheers mate. Rich.

9.
Musically related... well it's got a CD player I suppose...
Ha ha exactly what I was going to say... like word for word.
10. I like the symmetry you get on a stage with one right handed player and one left.
11. Ah well it ran to £460 in the end. Considering the buckle rash etc I think that's pretty good. One of us by any chance?
12. (not mine) Block and Bound rosewood 3TS. 3 hours left - looks like it might end up going for around standard Mex J price. -> linky
13. Ah man if only it had side markers instead of front dots.
14. PM for SYB-5.
15. Ah that makes sense. It sounded before like he was just playing it and it died on him. If you can see the break, it may be possible for someone with reasonable soldering skills to patch it up for you. Don't get the guy that broke in the first place to do it, he sounds like a hamfisted ass
16. Are you sure your original pup is kaput? It doesn't happen all that often that they just up 'n' die for no reason.
17. lol What was it? I gave a Fender P away in the mid '80's because I was moving house had a few guitars to take and didn't really have all that much interest in taking a big old bass with me. I knew nothing about basses back then so don't even know if it was a good one - it was kind of old looking though. I got it for virtually nothing along with a Hayman Modular guitar so I didn't see the point of asking cash for it. Doh!
18. I like that logic. Right where can I get a fretless for nowt?
19. Nah I think your initial conclusion is right Wayne. I thought the same to start with too but realised it's just poor misuse of English. I've recently had some contact with ebay over a dispute and all the follow up emails have contained appalling English and grammar. Probably makes perfect sense in the Bombay support centre it originated from.
20. At least you know that they aren't on his side as he implied.
21.
He refunded me so I paid again.
AT : That's a really interesting read. Makes it all seem so simple. There seems to be an increasing number bidders and sellers on ebay either forget or just disregard the contract they have agreed to abide by. I believe it's linked into the whole anonymity of the interweb and and the bastard "F*ck You, I'm more important" attitude that is becoming the norm. It's very simple to abide by if you are of the honest persuasion - just treat ebay as if you are meeting the person face to face, be polite and get on with it. I think it's about time that ebay implemented regular pop-pups (annoying I know but..) to remind everyone about it's most fundamental rule.
22. Actually is doesn't sound like egay are backing him on this - they just said it is a common mistake for noobs. Then he goes on to say that ebay made the error. Are they admitting to this? If so, will they compensate you for breach of contract? Nah he's pushing it - no matter if you knew it was a bargain or not.
23. There's always plenty love for these fantastic basses but the second hand price range is pretty much set - yours of course with being so new would be in the upper range. Have a look at past sales on here for a better idea mate. Blueburst with maple is the prettiest colour combo IMHO.
24. Ha ha nice one. Let us know more about it once you've got it.
